Your password was sent to you in an email so, unless you have deleted it, you should have a record of it.

No you should not be charged (assuming you used the link provided in the Noddle email). The email does explain this.

I followed the link and thought I'd done everything as I was asked to - but I've checked my credit card statement today and I've been charged £12! Fuming....

Anyone else had this? I've written to both Call Credit & Noddle to complain, and have cancelled my Call Credit "subscription", they're not taking another penny off me.

I thought the trial was now closed to new applicants. How long ago did you get the email with your Noddle password?

Callcredit has rolled out Noddle, its free credit report service
Callcredit has rolled out Noddle, its free credit report service, and recruited the founder of Freeserve to its advisory board.

Noddle has teamed up with price comparison site MoneySupermarket for the launch. More than 20,000 people signed up to the service during the trial period, which gives consumers access to their monthly credit report for free. It also enables people to use their credit rating to see a shortlist of money savings deals on financial products they are most likely to qualify for and offers access to a range of vouchers.

Following the trial, Noddle is redesigning its credit report to make it clearer and easier to understand, and adding a function which makes it simple for customers to alert the company to any queries found on their report.
Callcredit is setting up an advisory board to work on strategies for building Noddle rapidly to a market leading position. First to join the board is Ajaz Ahmed, founder of Freeserve, the UK’s first free ISP service. In just three months Freeserve became the UK’s largest ISP, overtaking AOL, with 2.6 million customers. After only nine months the company floated at a market cap of £1.5 billion.

Tom Ilube, founder of Noddle, said: “People don’t want to pay to access their personal information. By pushing ahead with the roll out of Noddle, we want to encourage Britons to be more aware of their credit rating and to put that information to good use – whether it’s improving their credit position or hunting down money saving deals.”

Signed up for the free service a week or two ago; was told I had to wait for an invitation link, due to the high volumes.

Just received the email today inviting me to sign up for the free service. The link is not personalised in any way so anyone else who is waiting may also be able to use it straight away: https://www.noddle.co.uk/signup?source=register

The signup page makes it clear that the credit card information is purely for information and will not be charged. I'd advise anyone to take a screen print as evidence.

One other thing - It will refuse to accept the new barclaycards issued to replace egg cards recently. It will tell you that as you have failed the automatic verification process you'll have to wait for another invite. Ignore that. Just re-start the process and use another card and it will work fine.

Your link refers to sign-ups during the Noddle trial phase when the Callcredit sign-up facility was used to sign up for Noddle; using a personalised link to get it for free. Current sign-up is presumably direct with Noddle and not via Callcredit so there is no charge when you sign up.

    Hope that clarifies the situation.

"The OP is correct - I have just been going thru my bank statements, and I'm livid - £12.00 was taken from my account in September, and worst of all, most of the service has been unavailable to me.
(as advised, I joined CallCreditCheck using the link Noddle gave me)

Hi there, the same has happened to me.... signed up for Noddle as it was entirely free, yet CallCreditCheck took £12.00 from my account on 18th December.

No phone number on Callcredit's website and Noddle's just asks you to leave a number for them to call you back.

Did anyone get through to them or get their money back?
    .
Could anyone who has recently apply for free credit report please share thier experience

    Thank you
