Maybe they're trying to get their feedback score up as they wish to start selling or something?
Whatever the reason, they are the ones who can damage your account, a neg & low stars may be coming your way just for the sake of your not wishing to leave +FB, saying paid promptly. I do hope that you're account is solid enough to carry it without having much effect.

I did wonder, but they have 4 times more feedback than me. I know I'm being stubborn but I'm sticking to my guns. It's not that I'm not going to leave positive feedback, it's just I'm not going to do it yet.

They are a business I think, buying my item (it's mostly what they buy) and then selling it in their retail shop. I have a sneaking suspicion she won't be happy with it when it arrives and try and get money off.

Can I ask then, why did you ask here or did you just want opinions on how to phrase the refusal?
A seller only leaving FB after the buyer feels to me quite manipulative. If you want +FB you have to leave me good first & stars.
If a buyer messages you after they've received their item to say, I have it, all ok, thanks. Do you then leave +FB for them or do they have to leave that sort of message in FB?

No I do understand. I'm a bit concerned the buyer may demand money off when it arrives or something, meaning followup feedback is my only option. I know I can only leave a positive. My DSR's and feedback are very good. I'm probably being bloody minded but that's just who I am.

I've sent her a nice email explaining I'm happy to leave feedback mentioning prompt payment and explaining I leave feedback when I know my buyers are happy with their item.

You leave me positive and I'll leave you positive?

Are you ok with 1 star on comms?
I bet the rest won't be glowing either.

I asked on here how to phrase further communication.

No, not at all. I have communicated with the buyer every step of the way. Why is it such a problem not to leave feedback until the end of the transaction?

Don't convince me, I'm not the one who'll be marking you down as they see fit.

Some sellers really do ask for bad DSRs and feedback.

Over such a small issue as feedback?

Anyway, I've 'put my toys back into the pram' and left her feedback.

if there are no problems and everythings fine the buyer should confirm it and leave feedback first, i mean they've paid for the item and all but anything could go wrong from shipping, didn't read listing correctly etc. leaving you in the dark so the seller really should be putting feedback last

however it seems no one cares as sellers can't even leave negs and i know most of the things i've bought the seller just leaves feedback when they ship/after payment. so apparently it doesn't matter much! just do what you feel is right, is this worth annoying an already fussy buyer who can leave a negs or neutrals? your choice really!

    That's why I've left feedback.

Looking through her feedback left for others, she's only left neutral when a seller didn't even send the item.

Maybe she's just a funny lady. Either way, she's got what she wants.

She's clearly a business seller masquerading as a private seller though.

Sorry, I don't agree. I am giving her good customer service by sending her item to her. Feedback is not a compulsory part of the process and I'm not going to change the way I use ebay by leaving her feedback now. I feel uncomfortable being harangued by a buyer like this. Why is she so keen to get feedback immediately? As far as I'm concerned, I leave it once the customer has their item.
It would take two minutes - less that than - to give it to her. I either leave it as I go or do it in batches if I'm selling a lot; I used to leave it until after the buyer had paid but that always really has been a bit pointless - if they've paid, they've fulfilled their side of the bargain, it's up to me to do the rest and keep them satisfied. They're paying me, not the other way round.

And you should be glad she asked the questions before she bid - many don't.
