Buyer asking for feedback straight after payment

I think I have myself a nightmare buyer. She asked loads of really fernickety questions prior to purchase, the majority of which were answered by the listing itself.

She bought and paid this afternoon. I've just had a message asking me to leave positive feedback for prompt payment. What should I respond?

I was thinking this:

'I will leave you positive feedback for prompt payment once you have recieved the item and are happy with it'...

I have a bad feeling about this buyer!

Been there too - why do some ebayers think they're in Harrods! Definitely think you're on the right lines with this one! It won't stop her leaving bad feedback obvioulsy but at least you'll have a little satisfaction in not giving her an unwarranted positive fb!

Thing is, I know it's not a massive issue, a lot of sellers do leave FB right after payment. I don't, I prefer to leave it once the buyer has recieved the item. It's more the fact she's messaged me. She's got my back up. I'm tempted to refund and relist, I know that's a massive over reaction but alarm bells are ringing!

If it were me I would put this woman on your BBL immediately to stop her buying anything else just in case.

last time i did that the blocked buyer used a friend to buy the item and wreck my DSR's! I know this because they had lots of sales between them, obviously helping each other out.

Why wouldn't you leave good feedback? Why should you wait until the item has been received? The buyer has fulfilled her part of the deal by paying promptly. Your part of the deal is to get the item delivered safely to her.

Your feedback to her should reflect her part of the deal. Since you can only leave a positive for a buyer now anyway, why worry? Leave the feedback and send the item.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I would respond with + FB if she paid promptly.

I am a great believer in not making a problem happen.

Leave feedback, if she isn't happy when the item arrives then deal with that, but deal with it then, not by thinking she is a problem now.

Some buyers do need more help, but that is what us businesses call customer service. If you are a private seller, you can give good customer service too you know!

Sometimes I need to ask a seller some questions as the wording used in a listing might be a little unclear or vague. I'm not stating that's the case with your listing, but when parting with money, I won't rely on a listing that's open to interpretation.

Surely a buyer asking questions before the sale is better than the possibility of a SNAD case later?

When I sell on ebay I usually wait until I have a few (10+) items to sell and when the buyer has paid I pack the item ready for the post office and leave feedback, when I have been to the post office I then mark the item as sent, therefore if I look at my sales I can tell wether I have packed an item and wether I have posted it.

When I buy an item on ebay I pay straight away (or maybe the next morning if I am not at home when the auction ends). Upon receipt of the item I leave feedback, when it comes to the communication DSR's I check to make sure they have left me feedback and have marked the item as sent. If they have failed on either of those basic simple tasks I deduct a star for each failure.
