(PS misty hope I'm wrong as you said some very sad things on one of your posts, and it would take a very sick person to do that.)

okay then how about ebay being a more level playing field. SELLERS are not allowed to give other sellers an indication of what buyers are like. Not allowed to mark down on stars the people who mess you around by making you wait until they are ready to pay. Before you all pounce I know you can open npb but not everyone wants to have to open a case every five minutes. In fact there are many downright awkward buyers out there and you should be able to at least comment that this was not a good experience. I agree that it should reflect service in the case of a seller. However how do we warn others about unreasonable or dodgy buyers as you are all so concerned about the validity of ebay as a marketplace, or are you just concerned about your own rights as a buyer. Only genuine replies to this query please,
You seem to toatally miss the point of retail. The point is to sell things and make money. You alienate buyers and they wont shop or return. If you get more than one or two awkward buyers you really need to look at what you are doing to attract them. 99% of buyers are hobnest and reasonable if I din't experience or believe that I wouldn't use ebay.

There seems to be a few sellers that see customers as the enemy and an inconvenience. These sellers seem to attract and cause problems for themselves missing the point that your not doing buyers a favour by selling to them they are giving you money for something.

If you make ebay an uncomfortable place for buyers they don't shop and you dont make money. As much as some of ebays rules etc can be annoying what they have realised is that buyers need to feel safe and confident about whet platform they are buying on. They do which is why ebay is such a success. Millions of transaction go through ebay daily all over the world with no problems. So something is going right.

If you go and buy something in a shop you don't get asked about all the things you have bought in the past year and what the shopkeepers thought of you as a customer do you? So why the need for this on ebay.

I use ebay to make money (I also buy a lot) customers feel secure and happy so I make good money. Retail is pretty simple really keep customers happy have good products and you make money.

sorry if it sounded like i was accusing you of aiming it at me. However it doesnt cost much to leave out the sarcasm. We all make money at whatever we do I sell candles for a company at home and do very well out of it. However I really like my customers and I hope they like me. The better your relationship with each other the more business you will do with the same people surely. I hope I am not coming over as some sort of pacifist.
    No, of course not.

There are a number of pugnacious people here - I'm sometimes one of them - but there are also a lot of people with a lot of knowledge, and distinguishing pugnacity from sheer weight of knowledge takes a bit of doing.

People also disagree without taking it personally.

By the way terra ferma I do only have one id. I suppose you are trying to start a fight with me now. Sorry no luck, Im a pacifist

Oh, it must just be a coincidence that both IDs have posted at the same time today.... ;)

On a more serious note you said on another thread that someone in your familiy has just died......
I don't think I need to add any comments to that.
Anyway as there is a small chance that I may be wrong I'll leave you alone, but I still think you are the same person, and you were clearly responding as linhug.

My son died what comment would you like to add to that. I know that doesnt mean anything to other people. We all lose people all the time.

I genuinely think you are the same person, we are all entitled to our opinion. The times both id's posted today and last night is exactly the same, and you definitely replied to the post and linhug, that to me is enough evidence.

But I will leave it at that, as I don't want to risk getting in wrong, in case what you said is true and the last thing you need is people being horrible to you.

I'd rather let a horrible lying person get away with it, than upset someone who has genuinely lost her child, for which I'd say it's a terrible terrible thing to happen to anyone.

Terra-ferma, does this mean that if I post at the same time as Soolin or Crowqueen then I must be one of them with a new id ?.
People post on this forum at all times of the day/night, does not mean 2 people both posting at 6.00 in the morning are the same person.

One thing I have noticed on MSE, and that is just how many threads turn from a genuine comment on a problem (in this case, sellers being slow to post) into a slanging-match with posters throwing word-grenades at each other.

It really spoils it. If people wanna go to war, then do it by PM.
