If you get a call for an urgent job you could casually ask if you can be added to the coffee visits. It took me a while to get added though which is odd as they are always seem to have urgent visits? But I suppose that's Gap all over!0

I have never seen Coffee jobs with Gapbuster - despite seeing them mention it in the news, and seeing them on the alerts thread...
There's no orientation for the client either - am I missing something?!
Cheers.
You have to ask to be added. So next time they call, casually mention that a friend who also works for them has mentioned the coffee jobs and can you be added. That's all I did and was instantly accepted. We’ve had to remove your signature. Exactly what I did. Think they had someone called Matt back then and he just signed me up straight away. Mind you, that's 4 years ago. When I stopped working for GAP, I told them I didn't have any need for the equipment and posted it back to them.0 -

Think it was just some random comment on the alerts board. What a plank! Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

GfK phone calls where you order an item and return it....
...company are breaking the law by not refunding you the postage charge you pay for them to post it to you, they only refund the cost of the item.
This is illegal under distance selling regulations
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10560466
Now, do I push for the full refund as is my legal right, or put some very strongly worded comments on the report and just suck it up this time round?
It's a little gem is that one isn't it.
The amount of people who don't know because were not told. But then again, the amount of companies that refuse this is unreal.
When doing my edig surveys if i'm cranky I sometimes make the email inquiery along the lines of "Will my postage be refunded if I sent the item back".
I would say 70% of companies so NO. It's unreal as it's your big high street stores.
I even had an item which was £24.99 delivered from a well known internet store (that has private sellers). I sent it back and received a refund of £22.37. Was slightly confused!
He eventually replied to my email stating he had taken the money to cover P&P. But the P&P was free i protested! £24.99 was the price I paid for the item, i didn't pay postage. AH, he says, but I did and you sent it back.
I pointed out this was a tiny bit illegal and filed a claim against him and won
Whenever you send something back you need to specifically say "I am returning the item under the DSR". You have seven days after recieving the item to "Inform them" that is what you wish to do and then send the item back (your liable for return postage unless the item is faulty or not as described, which in that case you would not be sending back under DSR but SOGA).
Unless you specifically state that bit of legislation the company generally assumes that your not aware you can get the postage back and therfore send the refund without it. It's a shame so many companies design the system to withold rightful refunds unless the consumer specifically states they know the law. Some companies will even argue till there blue in the face they don't have to, some even putting it in their T&C which I personally think is a right sham!
Hope on the consumer board. It's frightning what companies try and get away with. I know I see some on there (Becles i believe for one):D
Rant over, can you tell it's my pet peeve!I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -
