I had the most dreadful experience at Thurrock Lakeside Debenhams, trying to return an item under distance selling (for a survey). I have never been treated so shoddily and this was by the manager! They point blank refused to take the item even though all the paperwork and website stated I could return it to store. Eventually I called their customer services and despite them saying that had to take it back they still wanted to refuse. This was all done publicly and it is a long time since I have been treated quite so rudely. Suffice to say I will no longer be buying my Christmas cosmetics, clothing etc ever ever again from Debenhams. Oh how I wish I was MSing them because if that is how they treat their customers they will lose business.

I agree, Debenhams are one company who really need to be mystery shopped! The service is terrible in my local one too. They do ask you to fill in the on line questionnaire but doubt that makes any difference. I would write and complain to the store manager if I was you. You never know, you could get some vouchers (even though you probably never want to set foot in there again!)

I'll second that. I'm sure I had a rant about Debenhams on this thread a few months ago. Wont go in there again. The staff just can't be ar*ed to serve anyone and when they do, it's all a bit too much, you're interfering with their day.

RE excelled themselves this afternoon. I did two reports for them, by the time I had finished typing the second one, they had already authorised the first..... and not a single query on either!

Shame they still haven't authorised the bookshop I did last Friday.

There have been numerous alerts for RE today and I have not seen a thing. No fishy shops or posh sarnies or craft shops. I have not done any of them in months and months. Also, the same applies with GFK alerts.

Anyway, the sun is out. Gonna go catch some rays before it chucks it down again! Toodlepip :p

Just catching up. It's punishment for you taunting us with all your platinum dines that the rest of us don't get to see :p.

I didn't see craft shop or fishy shops (& haven't worked out what company that is yet). Strangely I can still see quite a few posh sarnies & they normally get snapped up.

Pip pay on the 15th of the month after you do the job. So one I did in July will get paid 15th August.

Gap seem to vary at the moment - generally around now or in a few days time but past few months payments have been slipping into the beginning of the next month.
