One of my cousins is called Forbes (). A few years ago he asked his dad (my uncle), dad, why on earth did you decide to call me Forbes, its a terrible name?? To which my uncle replied, "Talk to your mother, don't blame me, i wanted to call you Elvis".......:rotfl:Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Oooh Lirin go with the Harry Potter theme, amazing!
We've had our names for a while now, middle names and all! I' don't LOVE the name for a boy but it was one we could agree on. Everything I liked was "fruity" or "gay" Or rhymed with something that my OH didn't like. He doesn't like the middle name I've picked, but I decided to play the guilt trip of, "I'm having this baby so I'll be picking it"The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Gilly are you still going with Aaron? It's my DS2's name and I love it! Although didn't realise until he was a day old that it rhymed with my name, Karen
:o:rotfl:!!! Durrrrrrrr

Yep, Aaron Max
I do like it, that's bad the way I said it, but there were others I really preferred. Probably a lot more common at the moment though like Oliver etc

I liked it because you don't hear it too often. Although there is a little boy just started in our school reception which is the only other one I have heard of. There have been 3 Stanleys born round here too! Not keen on thatThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

Lola's a lovely name! I've always liked it since the song. Ari- several characters in films and games and all are the 'good guy' moral, good-looking character- a very strong name!
Gilly- we'd thought of Aaron too, but friends recently chose it for theirs....0 -
Thanks Lirin! haha she kicks quite a lot to this song actually - OH insists she is not being named after a song about a transvestite haha - though Lyla is an Oasis song!!!!
I love Ari - mainly as i think Jeremy Piven was fabulous as Ari in Entourage haha!
Pigpen you are right it would be so helpful if they came along with a name tag attached!Sealed Pot challenge" member #1342 Online Saver £60.00

Oooh so annoying when that happens. We wanted James for a middle name but one of my closest friends had chosen James and I didn't know so I'd rather not.
We've chosen Orla for a girl.
Elmo I love Lola, it's such a cute name! The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
We're still undecided on a middle name, but have gone with Eleanor for her first name. Bit of a compromise as I like it, but I prefer Ella which will be the shortened version (and probably what she'll actually be called for 90% of the time!). Still hoping OH will agree to Ella for the actual name though!
We had a nightmare deciding on a boys name, so a good job we haven't got to! The only boy's name I have ever liked was Alex which my son got, never did come up with any others.Little lady arrived 13/12/110
