    Right. Morning all.

Twinkle, feel for you, wish there was something I can do....

DSD was over staying with us, so DH suggested we try the bed again. Nope. I've spent all night trying to get comfortable, trying to sleep, and trying not to feel painful.

I gave up a while ago. I'm back on the sofa. Might have a choc pop for breakfast as I am boilingto death.. Mr knight, your feet is something to do with blood pressure I think- every time my pressure drops a litle my feet will feel warmer. Could work the other way around as well I suppose!

I swapped DH trying to hug bump and I all night-which has boiled me to death and given me a massive headache cos I'm dizzy-for the sofa and a very worried Lab (I've allowed her up beside me but she keeps shooting me glances to check it's okay.) Collie's acting as a rug.

My hips and back are so sore and given that it's bucketing down here, I'm not moving from here all day. And results won't be pretty for anyone who tries to make me.....

Oh spicy food linked to a more painful labour? I'm stuffed then- not allowed most pain relief during labour, and love extremely spicy food....
  • Twinkle sorry to hear your having a bad time, not got much to add except I agree with the others try talking to everyone that's been involved in your care so far on Monday.

Well i'm back in hospital prolapse became unbearable and bleeding started again so they kept me in, they tried fitting a pessary as they want me to go a few days longer and then will look at inducing me however it was extremely painful and then just fell out, they might try again this morning which I am not looking forward to. Problem is prolapse has gone in again and is slightly more comfortable but I know it will start again and with 2 children at home coming up and down makes childcare really difficult. I might push for the induction sooner than later.

I wish I'd done mire pelvic floor exercises now, feel like my body is packing up! Sorry for the moan hope everyone is well

wow you guys are quite tonight! where are you all?? snuck out clubbing???

I wish!! When you posted that I was tucked up in bed doing my pelvic floors :D Oh the excitement!

just need to find a cheaper button up nightie or two now.

Primark and Matalan had some in last week, and they weren't horrible granny ones :D

Well last night I had a decent sleep, managed to go a full 4 hours before waking up with pain in my hips or back :T Although I did wake up at one point with pain in my hip and remember thinking 'OMG! This is so bad I am not going to be able to walk in the morning and will need crutches!' But it seems to be just the usual discomfort this morn.

I finished putting the border up in the nursery yesterday and it looks lovely in there. I keep going in just to look at it :D I also went shopping for fabric for curtains with my mam, but didn't find anything that will match :(

I really wanted to strech this morning but as soon as i straightened my legs all the muscles tensed up ;-( i full strech would have resulted in cramp and pain so no streching

For my first baby I used the mama tens one. My understanding is they're different to normal tens machines as you can increase the intensity of the pluses as labour progresses. I did find it useful and will be using again with my second. Felt I at least had something to help with pain early on at home and did use for a while at hospital. By no streach it I find it touched the pain further on in labour but thought it was good for early one, especially as it took me two days to have first.

I bought the mama tens one from amazon (think around £47 to buy new but could be bothered with collecting to hire and then returning once i'd had the baby and can sell on ebay easily enough after).
  • congratulations Forumgrazer :j

I'm jealous. I'm 37 weeks today and really don't want to be pregnant anymore. Labour vibes can start today please!!!!!

Sorry you are back in hospital mrsT. I have been doing pelvic floor exercises last night and this morning, and going to keep doing them now!

Twinkle I'm not surprised you are having sleepless nights! Ultimately i wouldnt be too worried about a P2 child missing a few weeks of school. A c-section might be harder in the weeks after the birth? A long labour is very unlikely with a 3rd child surely? Plus, I though lots of back to back babies turn in labour. ( I was reading up on it too:p) Not meaning to be cheeky but have you tried relaxation exercises? Relaxed breathing will really help with labour, getting to sleep at night and just feeling stressed in general. You might find it easier to think of a solution? Wish I could offer you more practical help!

I've the fire lit today to cheer me up. It is so wet here I saw a frog jumping about the garden! Just want to curl up with a film, but stuck watching cbeebies and bouncing on my stupid ball.
