Afternoon ladies and bumps! ML has got off to a good start, began it with Mcdonalds for breakfast and have been out and posted my Ebay things and had a nice tidy. Going to do a few loads of washing this pm then tomorrow am going to do the baby's bedding and blankets - all of the clothes have been washed and ironed by my nan (she's such a star)
Am 20th on the list now apart from the boldies! Eek I remember being right at the bottom!
Hope we get some baby news today from the boldies and MrsS!
Hugs and labour vibes to those who need them!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
Hi jcr hope things have settled for you now!
Guess there is no news re: smlsave?
Apricot that sounds like a lovely day - where did you get the bedding from, I still need to get some... bubs clothes are now dry I just need to sort them again, though most are newborn or 0-3m.
I still feel like i am just having a day off, do you??? Had a pedicure this morning and a pregnancy massage too, it was divine, only wish it hadn't been so boiling hot outside in town. Got raspberry leaf tea and also breastfeeding pads.
Then got home, watched tennis and ate strawberries and cream, followed by a nap listening to my hypnotherapy...
I am 36 weeks on Weds, I guess I can start taking 1 raspberry leaf tea per day now? Missy76 seems to have gotten on well with it, what are any other existing mum's experience of it?:):)

Im the same! Although at 26 weeks I do have a very visable bump now so dont really have that excuse :rotfl: someone asked me the other day when I was due and I looked down at my belly in shock :rotfl:
im 26 plus 5 EVERYONE looks at me in complete shock and total disbelief when i tell them i still have 3 months left, im just gonna start lying to people lol
oohh forgot to add, woke up this morning went to get out of bed and couldnt blimmin do it lol managed eventually to get the kids to school for breakfast club the popped to the maternity unit and i have sciatica (not sur eif its spelt right, so hubby is away for a month i cant bloody walk properly and its soooooo hot lol oh well another day tomorrownow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
Sparkle - crib bedding is from eBay- was brand new but less than half of the price it would have cost from John Lewis! Cot bedding is from next courtesy of fil and the sheets are a mixture of mothercare and asda ( plus a few that my sister gave me)
I know what you mean about feeling like your just having a day off though - I feel guilty for not doing more today but it's just too blooming hot! I did a bit of dusting earlier and that made me sweat so not goig to exert myself too much!
Raspberry leaf tea is fine from 32 weeks - it's horrid though! Am going to give the capsules a try I think!
Sorry to hear about te sciatica mirrorimage - pregnancy really does take it's toll on your body! I thought I had Spd but my aches and pains seem to have improved over the last few weeks so that's one good thing!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
I am taking the RLT capsules as I hate tea - so much easier but expensive. DH went and got them for me from Holland and Barrett £7! last time my SIL past on what she had left so didn't have to buy any. Can someone remind me what RLT do? I know I took them last time but can't remember why and also the EPO.
BTW my due date changed to 10th JulyTegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)
Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early)0 -
Good morning everyone! We were half way down page 2!!!
33 weeks tomorrow and at the moment 7 weeks feels like a lifetime away!! Shouldn't grumble but I'm sure women shouldn't be pregnant in the summer!
Still no news from smlsave and boldies?
Re RLT I have read so many conflicting stories of when to start that i'm confused now. I think I'll leave another couple of weeks then crack on.
Right, better drag my backside into the shower. Hope everyone has a good day and labour vibes to those who want them.0 -
BCS did you see/speak to the GP/midwife yesterday? I hope you were appropriately reassured and feeling better today0

Hi Everyone,
I have yet to join this thread so thought I would today. My EDD is Nov 1st, my hubby and I are very excited. This is our first child and we can't wait to meet the little one.
I am 22 weeks along today and so far I have had a pretty good pregnancy, not much sickness, the occasional back twinge but other than that I am all good. (I may have just jinxed myself)
Joined all the baby clubs out there but if anyone has any hints or tips to save a bit of money would be greatly appreciated!
Have a lovely day!Trying to make our money work for us and not the other way round!!0 -
I haven't been on since Thursday, and I've been reading the past few pages to try and catch up. I've just realised I probably should have had a notebook handy- I can't remember anything anymore..... Many apologies if I'm leaving anyone out- it really isn't intended.
mrsspendalot- good luck (possibly belated?) Hope it goes well for you....
mirrorimage- sciatica- my husband has it, and we're convinced it plays up with stress and bad moods. He hasn't suffered from anything much really since I sorted out his finances.... since all the stress went, he's been a lot better. It is very very dehabilitating, I know.... He had a bad time of it a couple of years ago, while I was going through Thrombocytopenia (?sp)- it was an interesting 'contest' to see who could get up at times to help the other one!
delain- controlling family- will go into that one in a moment.
jcr- if it isn't too cheeky, could I suggest that you consider selling the bits and pieces you've made? Even at a local sale, car boot sale, whatever, the few bits you've made already for your baby are very sweet- plenty would buy them I'm sure.
We had a four-day trip to my uncle's holiday home. It's a fantastic place. Decor hasn't been touched since the 70's much, TV entirely depends on whether it's cloudy and raining, and the house clings onto a ledge halfway up a rocky mountain, with a view of a fantastic beach, which goes on for 6-7miles. If there's half a dozen people on the beach, it's a busy day. You catch your dinner, as the local shop only does long-life goods. Nearest restaurant is a good 35 mile away, and there's no nightlife at all- if it's good weather, you go for a walk or run on the beach, or fish and watch the dolphins. If it's a bad day, read a book and see what station on the TV is in tune.
DSD was a bit dubious at times- she's used to going to packed beaches with arcades, but she liked a lot of it.... Were up with my family and their husbands, and a few seaweedy-smelling dogs tumbling around. Delain- my family spent the entire four days berating me for every morsel I ate that wasn't entirely healthy, or if it was, I wasn't eating enough or had ate too much. Considering one sis arrived with a sample of everything from Sainsbury's sweet corner (not joking, she bought 18 bags of shopping, 6 were junk!), it was a bit rich at times!
I love my family to bits, but after four days, I'll be glad of a break. I got lectured on what I do with the dogs- they all seem to hold the assumption that when my child is born, it will be running around ferally with my dogs, baring it's teeth at the postman- and I have no idea why! I have common sense (and my dogs don't care who arrives at the house- if they don't come bearing treats, mine aren't interested.) I got told off for not doing enough exercise, then when I did an 8 mile walk, got told off for doing too much- I can't win!
Still it gave DH and I a chance to talk. I've been very worried about life after birth- I'm not clucky, don't go gooey over baby things in shops, and haven't bought a thing for baby bar necessities. My sisters also spent a good bit of time telling me I have no maternal instinct as I don't particularly want to sit for a four-hour conversation about prams- as long as it has wheels and can hold a child, that's as far as my interest goes..... I know I'm not a typical girly girl- I haven't wondered about the perfect wedding, having children, and I don't obsess over handbags and shoes- my interests are cars, mechanics, computers, DIY etc- and I was getting worried from conversations with my sisters how I'll cope after baby is born. DH's ex had post-natal depression which ended their marriage- I'm scared of that happening as well. We had a good chat sitting on the rocks for a couple of hours while DSD poked sea anaenomies and collected shells.
And apologies- I've just realised how horrendously long that was- please feel free to skip reading it!0
