BCS I'm no medic but I suspect that your worry will be making it all worse. If you're stressing I'd go to A and E and get checked. Have you taken your BP a few times over a course of time? There may have been a reason for it being slightly higher? I'm sure i've read that our BPs rise during pregnancy. Why not try calling NHS direct?

Easy to say but try and keep calm and as relaxed as poss

ETA. Didn't the medics check you after the fast heart and give you both the all clear? Not sure if I've made that up or remember Reading it

I'm a natural born worrier unfortunately & as I suffer from low blood pressure the high reading freaked me out.

I've just spoken to a midwife who has reassured me for now but thinks I should go checked out by my gp/midwife tomorrow.

They didn't really explain about the high heart beat tbh, one minute the midwife was saying i'd probably have to go down to the labour ward for further monitoring then the next she said I could go home.

I've had so many problems with this pregnancy I just assume the worst now. :o
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

Hugs . . . It must be really hard. So far, (touch wood) I've had a pretty easy pregnancy and I'm still a nervous wreck so I can't imagine how it's been for you. I'm really glad you've spoken to the MW though. Let us know how you get on tomorrow with the doc.

Morning Ladies and welcome to the newbies

I had a fab weekend in Cornwall, and Pendulum were brilliant! Im absolutely kanckered today though as i spent a good 3 hours dancing and jumping up and down and we didnt get back to the campsite until gone 11pm on saturday night. All day yesterday i was getting braxton hicks prob due to amount of dancing i did, but was great to get out and feel normal for the night rather than just lying on the sofa.

Re: RLT i took it from 32 weeks last time, this time i am taking it already (28 weeks), it needs time to build up in your system and you need to drink it every day, so 32 weeks is about right.

Having a nice chilled out day today, got the housework done before we went away, so just going to sort out washing basket, drop DD at school, then a swim, midwife appt, then best friend is coming over for lunch, all i have to do is go to the farm shop to buy some meat and thats about it :D

I hope everyone has a lovely day in the sunshine - fingers crosses MrsS and Smlsave are having cuddles with their little ones x

Slings which have all the baby's weight on the crotch (like the baby bjorn ones for a start, which are also incredibly uncomfortable to wear!) are not good but ones which support their whole weight, like a wrap sling or tie one ones which spread the babys weight through your body rather then hanging it straight on your shoulders are much much better for them and for you.

I bought a baba sling half price a few months ago and it looks very comfortable and good for my back. Last time i had a baby carrier (reverse backpack thingy) which lasted a week as it was like being 9 months pregnant! Even the OH struggled to carry the baby in it. Which I found surprising as he doesn't have any probs carrying a full set of golf clubs around the course for 4 hours. :D

oh my poor hubby, i think his nerves were shot last night.

we'd had a fab family day and house was a tip so we planned to tidy up once kiddies in bed etc. kids went up at 8 ( bit late but my dd takes about an hour in the shower , we'd had late dinner etc) anyway i'd felt odd all day but couldn't really explain it.

come half 8 ish i for first time felt comfy, but hadn't moved much so i thought right i'll lay on sofa with hubby and have some quiet time to get baby to move.

Well omg then the fun started. i had such bad braxton hicks i didn't know what to do. for over an hour i was getting them every 4 or 5 mins lasting for about 30 sec ( which felt like a lifetime) i was only timing them so i could brace myself for the next one. Hubby was so worried, telling me i shoudl phone the unit. as midwife said fri i shoudl phone unit if babies movements drop or if alot of pain. but i knew it was only BH and last thing i wanted was to be on a stuffy ward being made out i'm ott. plus hubby was on emergancy call out, all kids were soundo. mum was on mainland so no one to have kids and i couldn't drive myself there.

i knew they would ease but jees they gave me hell before they did. but true enough by about 11 they had stopped and i felt fine again. headed off to bed to fall asleep before they could disturbe me.

woke at half 5 this morngin feeling amazing and like normal ( by normal i mean before i was pregnant and huge, lol) washings on the line, house blitz has started. i feel great. baby still not moved as much, but i did have a kick early this mornign.

I've got a scan tomoz and consultant app. and if i go by previous date then i've got 7 weeks 2 days until we meet our new son. so although i'm in pain it is all worth it , and it will be over soon enough.

    sorry for all my moaning's,lol.

Hope everyone else had a fantastic weekend and is loving this gorgeous hot weather.

    Hello ladies :hello:

Glad everyone is out enjoying the lovely weather :)

Being PG still isn't feeling very real for me yet (am about 15 weeks and got no visible bump because I'm fat lol) so I seem to forget about it for long periods and whenever anyone mentions it to me, I say 'What?' Like this is the first I've heard of it lol. People will be thinking I've gone nuts.
