yeah i agree if my birthday was on 9/11 i would still celebrate and wouldnt want low key either. It is very sad and lots of lifes were lost but it has happened and we cant change it.

You only get one life enjoy it... apparently it has an expiry date?

hi ladies, had a good sleep this afternoon, the back ache has started again at about 6pm, and although it's there all the time it then gets worse, only for about 30 seconds though. How will i know if these are real contractions. At the moment i'm using the contraction timer and they are coming every 8 mins or so, but like i say it only lasts 30 seconds. Does this sound like it's real ones or not? Really worried i won't know and won't go to the hospital in time:) I'm so stupid!

Aimless

I'm not planning on buying a present for mine, I did buy him something when I told him though, more as a reward for washing up for weeks on end without wondering what was up.

I just managed to actually cook some proper food, ok mainly Quorn, tomato and a few spices, but it made a lovely change!

Soz its not PG related (mum again!), but i wondered if i could pick your brains?

So, mum was saying that she just couldnt bear having to think about what to pack for her stay in hospital for the op. So thinking about the maternity bag list, i've decided to make up a bag for mum, with things she might need/that would help her. I've done a bit of research and found some advice on some items, but wondered if you would all be kind enough to cast your eye and see if there is anything else i could add? (Not including things like books/ipod/change for Tv/Phone/toothbrush which are quite standard)

Ultra soft cotton Pjs, button up front, roomy.
Comfy slippers
Nice dressing gown
Several cans of dry shampoo
Face wipes
Hand gel
Water mist facial spray
Breath mints
Nice body moisturiser
Nice soft socks
A nice pillow for touch of home

Anything else.

loo roll..... I HATE hospital bog roll and ALWAYS take my own.. nothing like a bit of bum luxury!
box of tissues.. is it just me gets a crispy nose?
lip balm

quick question as can't ask dr at the mo if i am allowed to ask. Does pregnancy do anything weird to your skin? I think I have noticed some moles getting a bit darker generally but today noticed a mole on my boob is sort of peeling away. Boobs have gone up 2 cups sizes in last 2 months so not sure if it's due to the skin stretching or what else it could be?
