Pregnancy Fact #472 .. There will come a time that when you sneeze, baby will hit your bladder and you WILL pee on yourself.

oh gosh i hope not. i've never had that happen in any of my 5 pregnancies ( ok so first wasn't full term) and i've never done pelvic floor.

i guess one day tho it might all catch up with me for being so reckless and not doing them, lol.

I popped on to see if there is any news from abby. so i'm hoping that no news means good news.

Well i'm still ebay listing and sorting and clearning. omg why did i leave it to last week before baby due, i'm always a declutter once a month type person but wow i'm being sooo ruthless. i didn't know we had so much stuff we don't use, don't need, don't like or simple doesn't fit or just want rid. but i kinda need to do this as we got lots of plans for house and jobs we need to do. so clutter has to go.

eldest 2 are still in bed, dd is snoring away, ds is watching a dvd and snuggling. and youngest has been up since 6 , he woke me up with all his teddies playing at bottom of our bed. but he's just snuddled down on sofa now. hubby gone to work.

WW i've never got a changing table thingy. i always found i'd change baby on a bed ie ours or another siblings one and when downstairs i would put changing mat on floor or on sofa. if i needed baby to be at wasit height then i would lay towel on dining table then the changing mat. tbh i wouldn't know where to keep a changing table. if it is upstairs then always need to go up for changes. and if it downstairs it would take up valueable space in lounge or dining room. hope this is helpful.

Morning all :) I hope abby's having mummy cuddles now! :)

I really hate it when people pinch nice names for there pets lol!!

i've never had a changing table, I tended to change and dress baby downstairs, plus DS used to like lying on his mat on the floor and having a good old kick and wriggle. Not very helpful sorry it depends on what your routine is going to be.

I have been getting a horrible pain in my right thigh and hip also its a bit numb, thinking its sciatica. 33+2 today so not much longer to go, really need to start getting hospital bag sorted and arrange a visit to the hospital I'll be giving birth its in another town and i've never been yet! oops

    xx

well after me saying in last few posts babies movements have really slowed down he is certainly making up for it today. ouchie. and the pressure down below is unreal. the only way i can describe it is like, when you a bit tipsy and your trying to get the cork back in the bottle of wine and you just can't seems to do it right. the cork is a bit big for the hole, so you wiggle and push and miss a bit then try again.

Sorry for my random likeness but it is the only way i can think of describing it. and i feel so heavy. my back feels like someone has strapped a 10 tonne weight to the bottom of it.

on the plus side i've got more sorting done. all kiddies are now awake and the sun has finally come out. so washing on the line. and only 6 hrs , 40 mins till hubby home.

Hey, just a quick question: does anyone have or is planning on getting a baby changing table / unit? And how much use have you had out of it if you already have one?

I've been looking at then and can't make my mind up whether to get one or not.

hi, i had a changing unit with my firsts and used it sporadically for changing the baby but got loads of use out of it for the drawers for babys clothes etc. didnt bother with my second at all and never missed it

with this one i have bought a changing top which just hooks on the top of the cot if you know what i mean but i only paid £10 for it, thought it would be good if im upstairs busy and baby needs changing as it can stay on top really for a while whilst baby is small.

jcr lol ive neve really peed over myself it just made me chuckle

My 4 year old has decided if this baby is a girl, it's to be called Strawberry, and if it's a boy, Pinto :rotfl:
Not sure how to get hereto change her mind, she's stuck with this names for a month now :D

WW, I used a changing mat which I shoved under the sofa when not in use. Not enough space for a separate changer here.

I used to have pelvic floor muscles, still hoping that one day I won't need to worry about sneezing!

    Fingers crossed for Abby.

I dont have a changing table but I do have a tall set of drawers that I have the changing mat on and I use that a few times every night and sometimes in the day. Its quite useful as I cant always get to the floor and back up easy with my sore tummy. I wouldnt buy a changing table specifically though, its just handy that the drawers are ok to use for while the baby is small.

I used it lots for DS1 and it was great for storage as it was open underneath and I had lots of wicker baskets. Looked lovely. With DS2 I just found it easier to put a changing mat on the floor or bed so that's what I'll do this time. I'm actually going to sell my changing table with the wicker baskets - whereabouts do you live? I'm Midlands

Well I'm convinced we are having a boy so we have only settled on a boy's name, which is Harry. Yesterday I was at my mam's and she was babysitting my niece who is 1yo. My mam kept rubbing my tummy and saying to my niece 'say hello to Harry' which I thought was quite cool :D I'll be gobsmacked if we have a girl because everytime I think about or try to picture our baby it is always a boy. I even dream about baby boys.

I don't know anyone called Harry or with a child named Harry, plus OH wanted to name him after Harry Patch, the last fighting Tommy in WW1 who died a couple of years ago.

It's Harry my friend has picked! What a coincidence.

  • I'm convinced we're having a boy, however, OH has said that because we came up with a boy's name so easily that it's going to be a girl!

Baby seems to be making up for being quiet for the past few days, been getting kicked all morning, and was sure I got headbutted yesterday afternoon.
