My dad's mum had 3 boys, dad had 2 girls and now I'll have 3 boys! On my mum's side it's pretty evenly balanced. Noah is nice but that's getting very, very popular. Aiden is nice too but too close to Aaron for me. Really like Zack but my nephew on DH's side is Jack so too close maybe?!

God Kandboys you've got your work cut out trying to pick a name My OH doesn't like Aidan because all the Aidan's he was at school with got called Aids.

I'm quite glad I'm only third in my group of friends to have children, means I've almost got free reign with names, I don't like the names they've picked anyway.

I like Oscar too but I know someone with a dog named that and someone with a parrot Oscar

I think because of making lots of friends through DS's school it limits which names I can use. Plus I have lots and lots of friends with children so that limits it too. I don't mind a name which an acquaintence has used but to use one that a friend has would be a bit weird really - not to mention confusing when we socialise!

Gilly.. I have 6 daughters, 5 sisters and a very large extended family which are mostly girls!... it all makes it very difficult to find a decent unused name..

OH wanted to call Squeak Zachary Silas and DD1 was going to be Toby if she was a boy!

Kandboys - your welcome to steal my name, although you may not like it I love it, a few of my family have said well I suppose we'll get used to it!!! tough luck they dont have much choice, it isnt a chav name quite classic and the good thing I dont know anyone else called it, which is unusual!
