Free listing on Ebay again this weekend

I thought the 100 limit is for listing the auction free at 99p, then if you go over 100 you have to pay to list at 99p?
Ebay has just taken all the fun out of ebaying with all these restrictions.0 -

'Private' sellers are allowed 100 free listings at 99p or under per calendar month. The 101st listing would still be allowed but would be charged an insertion fee.
On free listing days as long as the item is listed a £1 or more it does not come out of the 100 free 99p listings at all.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Copied from eBay:
Free insertion fees
Your first 100 single-quantity auction-style listings in a calendar month won’t be charged an insertion fee if:- You are a private seller
- The item is listed in an eligible category
- Your starting price is between £0.01 and £0.99
- You are not a PowerSeller on any eBay site
Only auction-style listings without reserve are eligible. All other fees, including listing upgrade fees (such as bold or listing in two categories) and final value fees, still apply. If you list items in a second category, this will be charged the standard fees for listing in a second category.
eBay Motors, Classfied ads, Property and Multiple-item Buy It Now listings have their own insertion fees.

My friend has never sold on eBay before (but has 100% feedback as a buyer since 2004), can she start selling on the free listing weekend and how many items can she list? Is she limited to 10 items per month initially regardless?Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

I've just noticed your post as we posted around the same time.
That's exactly what I thought. The 100 limit is for listing items at 99p. There is no limit on listing more than 100 items but you would have to pay an insertion fee.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -

If she has any limitations on her account then thos elimiations will still apply on a free listing day. She may also be subject to a paypal 21 day hold of funds.
The other requirement for using free listing days is the need to have an account in good standing and this catches out a lot of private sellers who have let their expanded dashboard slip, usually as a result of overcharging on post and packing to 'make up' for the 99p start.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi,
I listed 300 items last free listing day (a combination of some new ones and some relisted which have been listed a few times). I'm not a business just have inherited lots of stuff over the years and am trying to make some pennies whilst decluttering.
What has been said above about ebay classing you as a business seller and changing fees now worries me. Each time I have re-listed I check the page and it always says 0.00 insertion fees etc. I assume that ebay are just charging the 10% final listing fee but haven't actually been checking this.
I haven't had any emails from ebay as the other post above has but am worried! There used to be a way you could check an itemised ebay invoice where you could see the amount each item sold for and the commission charged but this seems to have disappeared. Please does anyone know if it's still accessible anywhere?
Many thx!0 -
Hi,
Sorry, just thought of another question. As I've been listing/relisting around 200-300 each free listing day pls does anyone know how the "block" relisting works?
Until recently I've been relisting each item individually which takes a lifetime. Have discovered you can place a tick in the column on all your unsold items and click "relist". But there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to the charges.
Sometimes it will go through the process and say there will be a charge of 6p or 10p etc., to relist (and it gives you the option to accept or cancel). Other times there is no additional charge.
Sometimes if you cancel out and repeat it comes back with no charge. Just all seems very random.
As I have so many it would save a lot of time to just tick them all and click relist but as the fees seem so random I'm worried about trying this.
Pls can anyone throw any light on the whole block re-listing process?
Many thx in advance.0
