i bought the bundle with wii fit/ wii sports and the consule and it cost about the same as if i'd bought just a consule (with sports) and wii fit.

but i think if you want a few more games to go with it and you have the money to spend you might consider a bundle of consule + game (like mario kart) and then get wii fit separately. I have seen some good bundles lately.

btw i really like it. it was a great motivator to get me back to exercising. there doesn't seem to be any consistancy in pricing between shops so be sure to shop around.

Sorry, another question... what controllers do I need in order for two people to play?

For 2 people to box, am I right in thinking you need to remote controllers (???) and 2 nunchuk controllers?

And, when you buy the console, what controllers are already included with that?

    Thanks peeps...

I'm looking for one too after a weekend with my nephew! The Sonic Olympics is fab - you can choose which events you do and can win World and Olympic Records!

I know you only get one remote with the Wii but how essential are the nunchucks? I didn't use one at all with the Olympics but want a Wii fit - will I need one?

The best deal I found was in Game on the High Street though Games Station came in close behind. Depends what you want really.

I still think Zavvi has the best deal at the moment although it might change.

You don't need to get two nunchuk add-ons, just two remotes (in fact you can play certain games, like Wii Bowling with just one remote as you take it in turns). You can get the nunchuks if you like but for most things they're not essential.

So, to clarify, when you buy a new console, what's controllers are already included...? ...just one remote??

Also, if I get Wii Fit and want to keep a record of progress, I take it I need a memory card... any advice on what kind to get?

    Thanks...

Yes, just one remote (and usually one nunchuck, although not always), although if you have a bundle which involves free games you can get 'Wii Play' which is a game that comes with another remote free.

OH's birthday Saturday and he really wants Wii fit, as he bought the Wii console but Wii fit was sold out.

Well, it has been sold out and I am not prepared to pay twice the retail price, so have been watching Argos all week. I have noticed it has suddenly come back in stock in some areas, so have reserved and will collect tomorrow.

I noticed Tesco have taken it off their Tesco.com site - I had set up the email notification.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

If you have a Virgin Money Credit Card and buy your Wii from Zavvi, you get 10% off.

i want to get a wii console for my daughter for xmas, can anyone suggest a good time to buy it?

I noticed that some places have already started doing good package deals lately. I want to get a good deal , but i dont want to buy it too soon, incase i buy it then the following week it's a better deal, or even worse out of stock, till after xmas like last year.

    x :D

If you could guarantee the best deal one week to the next I'd ask you to pick my lottery tickets. Sometimes you'll have to swallow £20 or so if it does drop the week before xmas, but I'd rather find I had one than couldn't get one.

We got ours from Game yesterday - loads of bundles to suit exclud the Wii Fit of course! It was the best deal we could find for what we wanted (Olympics included).

    C xx
