New loophole???

  • I think there is a thin line between exploiting a deal or being in genuine hardship where you don't know where you'd BE without these bargains!!

I do fall into the second catagory as I watch the MSE threads for the latest deals eg the homepride sauces etc as it does save me tons on my shopping even though I've been eating chilli con carne for a week now and am FED UP with it! lol!! ;)

The retailers , do I feel for them? Yes - They are running a business and even if they do it unscrupulously which of course makes you angry I don't know if I could still ''milk them for all I can get''

Would rather just have FUN looking for regular bargains etc

BTW bolton angel my DD's Borough do not give free nappies unless the child is over 5 years old now :(

Plus I AM fuming that Tesco put the price up of the Huggies £1 BOGOF baby wipes to £2.54 now before I had a chance to get any for my DD :(:(:(

But still , another point I wanted to share is I do actually feel GUILTY if I post a deal which is then exploited or the Company is so over run with orders and losses that it has to step in and do something about it ... I SOOOOOOOO want everyone to get a bargain , which is why we share the deals BUT if it means the Company is making HUGE LOSSES just because I posted a popular deal ( which is also sent out in Martins e-mail ) then I can't help feel a bit bad..

The Brandosa deal I posted on the forum , seemed ok but even though everyone was angry they pulled the code I FELT GUILTY that I had posted the code and possibly lost the Company huge profits?? :(:(:(

SAME with the Dove deodorant ... lots of people printing out TONS of the vouchers and going home with say 20 or carrier bags FULL of them ... It wasn't my intention and I may think twice about posting some deals from now on.......

I don't want to be left feeling BAD but GOOD

Intention in posting the deal/s = good , outcome = bad!!!

Another thing I'm not going to do anymore is post a deal before I've had a chance to use it myself......

You know whats coming next - Yep , by the time I get round to ''grabbing'' the deal they've all gone! LOL

I am beginning to think more seriously about posting deals on here and the implications and consequences / knock on effect..

Plus I feel horrible when people exploit it which wasn't my intention at all whatsoever as there is a difference between need and greed and yes we all love treats but stuffing carrier bags full from using one voucher deal or 1 person literally clearing the shelves of 200+ bags of chocolates makes me feel a little sick to be honest!

( I just want to know as implications of first one is WORSE ie will DOVE lose out because loads of people are pretty much exploiting the vouchers as it won't be the supermarket who loses out will it as the offer is from Dove itself?? )
  • I CAN'T DO IT - I'm not doing it anymore!! ... Not going to post any more codes / deals which could potentially be exploited or lose the Company tons of money

I just don't want the personal responsibility thank you

Will leave it for others to do , yes I want people to get a good deal / bargains but I can't ignore the implications of it possibly being abused or misused or exploited / over used and I'm not going to be responsible for a Company making huge losses...

Most companies DO use the offers to entice you in hoping you will buy again at full price - But no one really does , not many anyway - Its grab the deal and run for most of us , or wait for the next one - So the ''hope to get lots of new customers for next time / who buy something else'' isn't going to happen for the majority

I KNOW savvy MSE'ers including myself will go into the shop or Supermarket with my list of bargains / offers and pretty much only buy those items and come out feeling happy about how little we've spent..

So enticing us in and hoping we are going to buy some full priced items while we're there - Definitely not going to happen in a high proportion of cases ... The shelves are just gonna be cleared of the bargain discount items!!

    Okay , my last point...

Company offers deal - Deal gets exploited - Do you think that company is EVER going to offer a deal like that again and get burnt by it?

Nope - So who misses out? THE ONES WHO DIDN'T EXPLOIT THE DEAL because if NO ONE did the company would PUT THE OFFER ON AGAIN .... and again... and then EVERYONES happy!!! :D:D

I can see why people make the most of exploiting the loopholes while they can - Coz they know the companies AREN'T STUPID ENOUGH to do it again once the loophole is closed

They are a business , not a charity!!

LOL! I have to admit, i don't post offers until i have used them, but i do still pass then on after.

Can i just ask, what is DTD? (i know it as double the difference, is that right?) and what was the big tesco loophole?
Man who run into airport turn-styles is going to Bangkok
