    Poor her !

If she has eczema I'd avoid using any wipes etc on her face and stick to natural oils like coconut or almond for cleansing as suggested ( not mineral oils).

You mention no improvement after a few days of not using wipes in your first post. I would say a few days isn't long enough to eliminate the problems and that it would be best to perservere with a minimal products natural regime and give it at least a month to expect any changes.

Will she remove her make-up as soon as she gets home and stay make-up free around the house at least? Does she use foundations that are moist and creamy? Some enduring foundations can be quite harsh and drying.
  • On rare occasions I get sore red eyes ( have eczema too) and I just smear vaseline over them before I go to bed, soon sorts out the dryness and the red clears itself up too over a few days.

Thankyou, have never really tried not using wipes for a long period of time, as didnt know what to try for the best, as i've said "simple" products make it worse, and other creams are quite pricey, but following some advise on here, she is off to John Lewis today to get a starter pack from Liz Earle range, found on line they do a starter pack for sensitive skin for £21 which i dont think is too bad ..... just dont want to be spending £20 on each bottle from each range, i know her skin is very important but just cant stretch to that on creams.

Yes she does remove her make up when shes at home, or if she's having a day in she never wears make up then either .... ironic but she only wears foundation to cover up the redness, vicious circle really!

Am going to give the oil treatment ago too!

Poor girl. I also have eczema & sometimes get it round my eyes. I can't use any Boots No7 products nor any Simple creams but the Simple facial wipes are great (how odd!) & I swear by the Aldi day & night moisterisers. For £1.99 a pot they're worth a try. I have also used their eye cream & that didn't irritate me neither.

On my body I use Aveeno (& so does my son) & we are eczema clear. I get it off prescription as the Epaderm & every other ointment & cream I got were too greasy & made my skin hot & itchy. I have a tube of HC45 just incase but we no longer use it.

I'm the same, Simple wipes good, moisturiser bad. The moisturiser's too thin and stings on sensitive sore skin.

I think the vaseline suggestion might be worth a shot!

Been to John Lewis and bought a hopefully magic box of Liz Earle products ...... went to buy trial sizes, but the assistant said it wasnt the best purchase ...... explained my DD condition, and she practically begged me to buy the cleanse and polish, i ended up buying a kit £42 containing, the full size cleanse and polish, toner, moisturiser, eye tonic and face scrub with 2 muslin cloths ...... but the best part was she said if in just after a week, if hasnt improved her skin, we could get a refund on the products!

So my DD has just used it for the first time ..... fingers crossed it helps!

I used to suffer this round my eyes when I was about 13-14 years old.

Has she not tried Betnesol Eye Ointment? Eventually mine cleared up by itself, but I feel for her.
