Just hoping to get a result!

Once I get my first win I'll be raring to go, and help my parents tackle theirs, my father has asked me to see about the PPI on his loan!
Since joining this site I've claimed back £1,151.97 from Barclaycard and £975.83 from Capital One, cancelled my £45/month O2 contract and feel almost FREE!!!

Who (other than you)? Where are the posts?
You could go to the FOS after 8 weeks, or just go straight to court (after an LBA). No idea why you are waiting a year. (unless you are not talking about credit card default fees)

This is nothing to do with default fees, this is plain and simple mis sell of ppi.

Rebecca did go to FOS!!!! that is why the wait!,in hindsight she should have let Barclays deal with this claim, but isnt hindsight a good thing?.

All banks except Santander put all claims on hold due to the JR, the FOS were then inundated with claims as the banks were not dealing with these, this led to the wait at FOS of up to 2 years.

As for taking it to court, well you tell me what judge would have ruled in any ones favour while the jr was taking place?.

No one can make the banks pay up even quicker than they are doing, there is nothing to do but wait.
Or email ceo and get fast tracked!!!.

My husband is waiting for Barclays to pay up from last july,it was the end of september for the 8 weeks,Barclays asked for more time, then lo and behold we went on hold due to the jr in october ,had we gone to FOS with this we would not have had a resolution to this even to today,as Barclays have now until the 31 august to pay out all claims and the FOS will take longer.

With my hubby, that is 2 posters on here who are waiting a year, and i have told you why this is, blame the banks the FOS and the jr,as there is nobody on this earth that can make these claims go any faster.

Then the post was off topic. This board is about reclaiming bank & credit card charges, and the OP is presumably blogging their attempts to recover credit card default charges - nothing to do with reclaiming PPI.

There is a whole separate board to discuss the reclaiming of PPI and other insurance here:

Right, Capital one got back to me, offered me less than 8% of my first demand, fired off another letter to them giving them 14 days to respond...

  • Surprised I never updated this, I'm having very little luck with Capital One, after that letter they offered me a 9% payout, so I went to the FOS instead...
