My Reclaiming Story

Options
Well I'm finally giving it a go!, I've been looking here for a very long time, wondering if I should or shouldn't, but I wan't to clear a lot of my debt and a big chunk like this will help, even if it just gets my cards within their limits.

Finally after a week of debating I sent the letters to Barclaycard and Capital One yesterday, C1 have received theirs this morning and signed for it but the BC one still says processing! oh well I'll see later, now the wait for the details back, so exciting!!!

Also fired a letter off to Virgin Mobile!!! they told me my direct debit will come out on the 10th, it came out on the 3rd and charged me a bank fee!!! making them pay my £8 charge for my £5 phone bill

Cap1 letter was received and signed for perfectly...

Barclaycard, well the letter took an extra day. Royal Mail say it had to be redirected, and when it was signed for the printed name shows as "Barclays" are they allowed to print a company name?

Right, filled in the letter. Hoping it goes smoothly will be posting it recorded tomorrow when I tax the other half's car, just waiting for Capital One to get back to me, it's a very small balance that I hope I can clear and have extra to go towards my BC balance.

Finally got a response from Cap1, tidy little sum there, enough to clear the card and more!

Will be sending today, still waiting on a reply from BC about my request for payment, but they have a few more days, the royal mail website is still showing my letters as undelivered but I know it must have arrived as they received my Mum's letter and they sent her pack of statements out!

In todays post I had a letter from Barclaycard stating

"We are very sorry to learn of your dissatisfaction, as the provision of a high level of service is very important to Barclaycard. Your correspondence is being dealt with by this office and we aim to resolve matters by the 29 July 2011."

Any advise to what I should do right now?

Fair enough, but I got another letter from them yesterday stating that my claim will be dealt with by the 30th...

There are a few of us waiting from Barclays from as early as July last year. It seems they have a very long back log.

Who (other than you)? Where are the posts?
You could go to the FOS after 8 weeks, or just go straight to court (after an LBA). No idea why you are waiting a year. (unless you are not talking about credit card default fees)
