Any ideas what i might have in my cupboard which will clear my blocked kitchen sink!!??

I've got as sink plunger in my cupboard, it always works.

Failing that a wire coat hanger from the wardrobe. Just cut it, bend to shape and poke down the drain.

Depends what's blocking it. If you take off the u-bend and empty it that should solve the problem. It would be useful to find out why it blocked, so you can avoid it in future.

It it's blocked with fat, try boiling water & soda crystals.

Is it grease, pour some washing up liquid down there, leave for 10 minutes to run through, then tip a kettle of boiling water down it.

My kitchen sink is blocked with hardened fat. There is about 2 inches of water in it that hasn't moved since 9pm last night.

The letting agents are coming around to inspect my property at 9am tomorrow.

I won't be finishing work until about 7pm tonight, so can't go to any hardware shops.

I will be stopping at Morrisons on my way home to get something to try and unblock it.

Bearing in mind that I am limited to what is usually stocked in a supermarket, what should I buy to try and unblock the sink?

    Many thanks.

EDIT: If someone is going to recommend taking the U-bend apart, how exactly do I do this? Do I need a spanner? Or any other tools?
