Anyone had tesco price check voucher through today?

Price checked my receipt monday or Tuesday, got email yesterday and they haven't checked at least half the receipt!! Saying no comparable items found! On organic bananas and mushrooms, basic stuff. Bearing in mind the neares Asda to me is fairly large and has a massive range, I find this hard to believe that there were no comparable items.

Is this a regular thing? Is it only worth price checkingwhen you know for sure there is the exact product cheaper in Asda. Seems a bit convenient, that they couldn't find half my shop.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, many thanks. And apologies if this has been asked on numerous occasions before, bit new to all this.

I agree Vamps, it's pretty lame that Tesco are unable to match up items which are blatently the same as those found in Asda, but it's a problem that has plagued us since the beginning of Pricecheck. It's unlikely to go away soon. For the bananas, perhaps Asda'a pack weight was too different to those in Tesco (must be within 10%). If they are unable to match up packs of Duracell batteries (yes, really) then you can see that they might have a problem with loose fruit and veg!

Thanks for the reply. I see it's going to be a rare occasion when I get a positive reply from tesco, but I will try and keep an eye on the Trolly checker thingy and hopefully the price checker might see the odd price difference in my favour.

Oooh what a shame about your new asda:( Wombled receipts a lot easier on asda for definate! Shame most ive picked up recently have been either too few items or only pennies.... Never mind its all good fun anyhow!

My new asda (which I was so excited about!) is a ibt disappointing as it is so dinky. The layout is like a kwik save. The car park is titchy and cannot cope and, worst of all, void of discarded receipts :eek:

do you really go round the car park picking up old receipts so that you can price check them with tesco? is it worth it?

I've got 3 receipts I'm waiting for Tesco to check, been over 3 days now on all of them...

Got over £65 in one car park - granted there were over 80 odd receeipts and most had nothing on them but one or two were over 6/7 pounds! Took about 1/2 an hour to collect them - the kids loved it lol! And then about another 1/2 hour to sort and input so 65 pound and hour? Yeah i think it was worth it.....

I got £65 back from asda price guarantee in one car park - tesco you're lucky to get back your JTD even if you plan the shop!!
