They should take a leaf out of Asdas book. Apparently they produce a voucher INSTANTLY.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

sori if i sound stupid but could you tell me whats yous mean
£5 a day challenge april £338 /£1500 -
Asda do their own price guarantee whereby you enter your till receipt the following morning and, if your shopping would not have been 10% cheaper at any if their competitors stores (not just Tesco) they refund you the difference immediately via a printable voucher. No waiting at all!
As we have no Asda locally (yet) I have been unable to try it out.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

It's not any of their competitors. It's just Tesco, Sainsbury and Morrisons. And you do have to wait until at least after 6 am on the day after your shop to input your details, whereas with Tesco you have to wait at least a whole day. So it's not that much quicker.0 -

I quote:
"The price data used for comparison of products is obtained as follows:
2.1 mysupermarket obtain prices (except Morrisons) from daily web scans of the Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose Home Shopping sites
2.2 Morrisons prices are collected instore (by an independent agency) twice a week (Monday and Wednesday), and therefore unlike Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose, are only updated twice per week. The Morrisons prices are collected in stores each week around Great Britain"
I don't think that Lidl & Aldi would be included in the big supermarkets as 1) they don't stock many branded goods, and 2) a large amount of items are unique to the store and 3) they do not submit their prices online (apart from their promotional offers)
I don't think anyone reading my post would split hairs over who the real competition for Asda are. To include 4 major leading players in their price guarantee is a pretty confident thing to do. Tesco only price match Asda (when they feel like it, that is. The vouchers are not very forthcoming this last fortnight!):A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

I believe i did say a few posts back:
" do their own price guarantee whereby you enter your till receipt the following morning and, if your shopping would not have been 10% cheaper at any if their competitors stores (not just Tesco) they refund you the difference immediately via a printable voucher."
Also, if you look at some of the experiences of other posters you will see that although tezco say they will send out results within 36 hours, they are taking over a week to arrive, and not all if them even then. It is a system fraught with problems.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

It's certainly the case that Tesco are often very tardy in dispatching their notification emails, but I find that the results are there on TPC within the stated time frame when you re-input the receipt details. Which is what I do, so the non-receipt of the email is neither here nor there as far as I'm concerned.0 -

It was just a clarification. There's no need to get upset about it.
Oh and I forgot about Waitrose. But then competing on price against Waitrose is a bit like shooting fish in a barrel.0
