Well it's a mixed day already today - woke up to an email from Equifax saying they've updated my file which is that there is 2 months arrears on my store card (should say settled ) BUT my o2 account now says 5 months in arrears but settled :j so although it's crappy that it's so far in arrears it's closed and it's finished with...
Waiting for my outcome on the basic bank account to come through, it'll be nice to have something that's not Halifax for once.
Payday from second job - wasn't as much as I hoped but nevermind - I don't plan to spend much - once it's in my bank I'm reluctant to let it go - old me would have spent it by now!
I need to get my dad's necklace sorted out, it's snapped and he wants it repaired - no idea how long it takes or how much it will cost - my little bro (who is currently starting his own business - he's 19!) wants to go halves so I will also make my dad a coconut pudding! Simple things!!
So, today's the day for asking for a payrise - fingers crossed that by this afternoon I'll be on some more pennies...
Have a lovely day everyone xxxLife is too short not to love what you do.0 -
Just come across your diary and just had to post to say that photo made me smile!! its like the ones you see on humorous birthday cards with a funny caption!!!
As for talking to your boss, if you dont want to ask outright for more money why not ask for an apprasial (sp?) that way you can spell out just what you do for the company to his face so you know he is listening.

Haha thanks Rags! I just want to say - YOU WILL EAT IT! when I see that pic - would never be like that now! No one gets to eat my ice lolly!!
I have recently had my review so I know that I'm doing good, should have bought it up then but the people conducting my review (my manager and the boss' wife) don't really have the authority to say yay or nay to such a request
ho hum
I AM STARVED!! xxxLife is too short not to love what you do.0 -
Well I have bit the bullet and sent the email - now the horrid bit of waiting - this is what I hate about being in a small office - you can see everyone from the comfort of your own desk!! xxxLife is too short not to love what you do.0

So I heard back from the big boss - who as ever was lovely
He said:
If we can secure a more stable contract with our biggest client (that I work for) then things will be better for meAlso he's gonna double check with my managers to see what I'm up to (they should say 'yay she's awesome - doing loads of work blah blah blah) and then before he left he said 'book some time in my diary and we'll talk about it' weeeeeee at least it's not a
NO!
Which is nice
On other notes - does anyone actually HATE having money? When I have money in my bank (payday today) I actually feel guilty. Like it doesn't belong to me - I guess it's true when you have debts, no money is your own until every penny is paid back
Wish the weather was better - got so much housework to do and there's nothing worse than doing it in the dark!
Love love

Glad that you didn't get a straight 'no'. Sounds promising that he is thinking about it and wants to chat about it with you.
Whenever I have money, it always seems to be allocated for something or other. I never seem to have any spare really. Either it has to go to this creditor, or has to pay that bill so even when I have money in the bank, it's never surplus so I never really feel like it's mine anyway.

Hello!
Sorry not much from me yesterday, it was my friends hen party yesterday at mine and we had a lot of fun, tonnes of food and drink left over which they wanted me to keep lol so junk food it is for the next week or so! Have my nails painted with that new crackle paint, it's really good! Only my nails look like cow prints lol!
I did win £2.50 on the bingo and had over £18 in my purse which was great! Spent a little bit today getting ingredients for my dads fave bread and butter pudding (with an added twist of using coconut milk instead of milk!) who knows how it'll turn out... Good I hope!
I can't put my usual stats on yet as on the iPad and it's lame for doing stuff like bullet pointshowever I will steal the BFs laptop to update and also to LIST like no tomorrow as didn't get a chance yesterday and don't want to miss the free listing weekend!
Gotta do loads of washing this week as we are off to see the in laws next week for the BFs nan's bday, pretty excited but feel like a big fat mess, plus meeting lots of his family for the first time and I don't want them to think he's found a fat British girl instead of a pretty Dutch one... We are flying to Holland though so that's going to be very fun, we normally drive but figured it's cheaper to actually fly- which it is by a massive £150!!!! We normally go in his Jag which guzzles petrol so it's like 3 fill ups over one weekend! Plus the ferry over and it takes 9 hours to get there... But flying to holland is a shorter distance than flying to Leeds from here so gonna be super quick, can't wait! First time flying with a BF too so there's an experience!
Well anyway best go and stick the pudding in the oven! Be back later
Love love

So the pudding was the butt of all jokes yesterday - resulting in both parents texting me on the way home to say how much they enjoyed the pudding and that they love me - GUILTY OR WHAT?! hahah it was rubbish to be fair - soggy on the bottom and like toast on the top but it tasted alright lol!
I added 30 things on eBay last night - considering I had such a hectic weekend plus not having the laptop for more than 30 mins that's not too bad but not the 50 items I had hoped for - might put more on later2 DVDs already have bids on - they are unusual DVDs though as I was a film student so lots of art house / foreign films that I'm never gonna watch again because they're not so much 'watchable' films more 'studyable'.
I will post more later but best get on with some workiesxxx
