    Good morning - good morning!

Another day another dollar as they say - last day of the week for second job - horrah - I got locked in the cleaning cupboard for 40 mins  yesterday! I couldn't get out because they have these door passes which gain you access into different parts of the building, I could get in but not out! Had to wait for someone to find me!! I even called the office upstairs but there was no answer!! But I was eventually rescued and could actually do my job!! The BF thinks I should kick up a stink about it as if there was a fire blah blah blah - meh no harm done - I'm just too laid back!!

I'm thinking of ordering some beauty stuff like facepacks and whatever for the hen party on Saturday - might get a job lot on eBay and sell anything I don't use - hmmm! Sold two bits of make up yesterday so that was a bonus - the paypal account is looking pretty so need to withdraw the cash!!

Got to order office stationary so I'm going to put it through quidco to get some cashback :D how naughty of me!!

Best crack on though so will write soon

    Love Love

soooooooo.... mum thinks I should ask for a payrise at work, scary stuff - this is my first proper job since leaving uni and I do do A LOT for them - I have changed positions from being a web designer to adminny stuff - which actually suits me down to the ground - however I am actually doing both jobs plus answering phones etc so I think I do deserve a payrise but just scared about talking money - I am rubbish about talking about myself - in a positive way - I can easily say I'm rubbish!!

Anyway, one of the two MD's commented this week about how I'm doing really well keeping a client happy (I am the only one who works for them on a day to day basis and they are our biggest client) I just brushed it off and said just gotta do whatcha gotta do - should have said well pay me more damnit!! So I have drafted an email to send to the big boss man (the other of the MDs who's company it is) who is super lovely (and gave my BF a £5k payrise in April ) so it's not as if it's not a posibility...

here is my draft of the email with sensitive info taken out:

    Hi big boss man,

Just wondering if it would be possible to review my pay, as I have changed position but continue to do the majority of the *big client* work along with anything else that comes in like *smaller client work*, peer checking etc for *company* (basically my old role and some of *a previous colleague who has now left*!) as well as all the admin work that my new position entails.

I really do love working here and feel that I am building a great relationship with the clients such as *big client* and keeping them sweet by doing their work quickly and effectively along with all my other tasks.

If you would like to talk about this further I’m more than happy to.

    Kindest Regards

    Steph

I think that sounds fine. At the end of the day, you are only asking and if you don't ask, you don't get.

    Good luck :)

What a day - the weather is HORRID!! The boy left this morning at 6:58  so rather tired!! It will be a long day without him in the office - yep we live and work together and never had an argument :) Still haven't asked about the payrise as waiting for the big boss man to come back, probably be tomorrow - pretty scared but if he says no it's no big deal I can always look for something else - luckily my degree is very flexible in the skills I have, plus did loads of volunteering so have transferable skills there too - just would like more pennies - sounds greedy in this climate but I know I am worth more than what I'm paid (who isn't?!)

Well work starts at 9 and so far there is 5 of us in the office - the weather must be awful!!

I will be back with more ramblings later :) xxx

    Hi

Another subscriber here too, but I tend to lurk rather than post.

Good luck with your payrise request.
