Naturally this does not sound the death knell for my cash! There is still the argument that the amount they seek does not reflect actual losses and therefore breaches the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 (and possibly others)
I know it is some times since this was posted but the UCTA mentions nothing of the sort. It explains that signage must be legible and other matters along those lines but it doesn't mention anything about amounts having to reflect losses. That principle is a general guideline laid down across several protocols and in precedents set by District Judges, and in particular Lord Dunedin in 1914.0
