Pizza Hut...Why so lacklustre?
Comments

I complained to Pizza Hut via their website about the poor service I'd received from our local delivery store and after a week or so got a letter with a £10 gift card (which was obviously great) but also after leaving it a few months I tried the store again and everything was a lot better! Maybe that was a coincidence but I thought it could be that they'd been spoken to by head office/area manager etc so maybe give that a go SnowBelle?0

To be fair, if I go to the likes of Pizza Hut I expect to order food, get food, pay then leave. I couldn't give 2 hoots about the "service". This is understandable in a nice, high class restaurant but Pizza Hut??? It's the pizza version of Mcdonalds with proper tables and chairs!0

when a complaint is made the manager gets a call from area manager, think it also affects management bonuses0 -

Businesses, aside from making a profit, should not forget that they are there to give the customers what they want; not simply what they want to sell
I must be getting very old ... the whole concept of "please", "thank you", a smile, the human touch ... seems some people think that can only be delivered at a "high-end" establishment? Strange indeed!0 -
And, just like a McD's - or high end restaurant - they are providing a "service". Presumably, no matter which end of the spectrum, they all want to make a profit? To do that, they all need repeat customers?

Not at all, I am talking about what I would "expect". From a high end restaurant, you are paying for a good service, this is part of the higher price you will pay. At Pizza Hut, I am paying for a pizza at a reasonable price so would not expect "how are you today sir" type of service.0 -

The point the OP was making was that the waiting staff appeared disinterested, uncivil. Come on, what does it cost to smile and "appear" interested in a customer?
If I go to a high-end restaurant, I don't do so in order to be asked how I am! I do it in order to get quality food, quality service and quality surroundings!
At PizzaHut, McD's ... I still expect basic civility (along with their 'basic' surroundings and 'basic' quality of food). Yet, basic civility wasn't even on offer to the OP!0 -

I was on £5.93 at first for FOH yes, plus my tips which were really good, but my wage went up after 3 month service.Slimming World Challenge 2017 0/30.5lb

The staff wouldnt know till the end of your meal that you had vouchers so it shouldn't affect service.
And anyway...............the overall takings aren't really the concern of waiter/waitress but good tips are!!
Hence why good service should be given to each and every customer.Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -
Good Morning each and all,;)
Firstly I must apologise for starting this!
My only complaint really was lack of civility.
As I previously said I am definately not looking for any compensation, free meals etc.
I don't expect to get my ar%%e kissed as so eloquently put....Hello would be nice, but hey ho that's how it goes I suppose.
I also understand minumum wage woes and useless managers.
Thank you to all who took the time to agree/disagree and advise me.
I'm sorry some felt the need to add a personal slight towards me...
But all in all a good discussion is a healthy one.
I will now shut the door on my way out!!!!:)

It depends where you are dining, on many vouchers it does state that you are to produce the voucher on ordering, not after.0
