if you read that thread correctly i said that was a possible reason i never said that was the reason.0 -
BunShopBandit wrote: »It's funny you mention reading a thread properly. I'm sure you continued down the freemailer avenue long after numerous people had said "GMAIL & MARKS & SPENCERS WORKS FINE" ?
Regarding the blacklisted IP you said 'may' be the reason. In reality anyone with half an inch of !!!!!! would know that would be very unlikely to be the issue.
well i wont be helping anyone else when their are people like ColinFishwick making things personal against me0 -
i will not inform maxmind that every one on MSE think their list is wrong as those on MSE are happy to have fraudsters use their services

Does your email address have a hyphen in it? E.g. smythe-jones@poshmail.com ?
I have this issue with a domain I own that has a hyphen so that myemailaddress@mydoman-name.com is rejected by some (stupid) sites when I want to register with them.0 -
Anyone who uses email lists collected through through their website will know the majority of emails addresses are these "free emails" (most of the rest are isp related)
As someone said earlier, it'd be just plain silly to ban them from an ecommerce site. Business ineptitude in fact.
Crazy thread.0 -
Oh yes, also avoid an email address with 2 dots before the @ e.g. my.email.address@gmail.com these get rejected.0

No comment on the previous # numbers but I've used and continue to use gmail since [ someone will correct me if I'm wrong] about 2002 I think.
I've never had any of the issues mentioned. The fact of the matter is that there are 26 letters in the modern English & American alphabet. If you insert extra dots or diacritics or any other ' style ' characters things can and often do go wrong.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. I try to be an even-handed poster and accept that you at times may not agree with these opinions or how I choose to express them, this is not my problem.
