And here in Wilts it has been throwing it down since about 7am and is currently so bad that I cannot see the garden through the patio doors  and is sooooooo cold!!! Think I will stay in today!

Same here - and my poor youngest daughter is doing Race for Life...she so wanted to do it and weather's like this:(
I really need to sort out a new signature!

I've not been here for ages, we've started a small things thread on MFW so I tend to post there, but I remember fondly a lot of the tips from here. Does anyone want cravendale codes? I have a a handful going spare but wanted to offer them before I just post them on the main cravendale thread.

    Hi all

Just nipping in as I'm having a very busy and social weekend...literally doing a whole month's worth of socialising in one weekend and I'm not going out again for the rest of the month, I refuse!!!

    Yesterday I:
    - Did what felt like 1758 surveys, but may have been more like 15
    - Checked One Poll
    - Checked my bank for the Body Shop refund - wasn't there!
    - Went to my friend's house for her birthday 'do' - this was very MSE of all of us because we were going to go for a meal in town, then decided no-one could afford it, so we went round early, went for one drink (£4.99 - it was a cocktail ;)) and then back to hers as we'd all brought stuff round to make a Mexican feast! I made a salsa and Mexican Rice, they made fajitas and corn on the cob. She even made a delicious pineapple and coconut cake with coconut cream (our own made up recipe after lots of wine - it was yummy!).

    Today I will:
[STRIKE]- Check bank just in case Body Shop refund has gone in, sometimes they show on a Sunday[/STRIKE] It hasn't
[STRIKE]- Play around with budgets and make sure I got the new one right, then update all the monthlies with new figures[/STRIKE] I managed to leave off car insurance, what a doofus! Still, about 3 happy hours spent playing with budgets today, I can't get enough of it!!!
[STRIKE]- Amend "Moving Savings" DD for end of June payday based on playing around with budgets, should be able to put in more than the £5 I planned![/STRIKE] After playing with budgets I currently reckon £95...not sure where I've managed to save so much - we'll see if I can survive next month on the lower budgets!!!
[STRIKE]- MEAL PLAN!!![/STRIKE] Close enough, I have two batch cook ideas, I'll work it out!
[STRIKE]- Shopping list based on above[/STRIKE] Written out, ready go!
    - Do a small shop - aiming for about £12
    - Get the money back off my friend when I see her at coffee later, for the drinks I ended up paying for, for her on Friday (cash bar, she only had a card on her) - should be £12 but expect she'll give me a tenner, I'm happy with that, she's normally very generous!!!
    - Do Shop and Scan and receipt
[STRIKE]- Check for surveys again[/STRIKE] Did one - quiet day!
    - Shirts on Eco 40 and hang to dry
    - Darks on 30 and hang to dry
    - PUT CLOTHES AWAY WHEN DRY!!! I'm crap at this and they get all crumpled in the basket!!!

Think that's it, no time today!!!

Perni - thanks, my weekend has certainly been good and taken my mind off all the rubbish I was getting bogged down in, so I'm MUCH happier now! Thank you so much for thinking of me :p x

rdchick - your creation looks amazing and really professional! I'm very impressed, if I tried that it would look like a five year old did it! :rotfl:

Have a good Sunday all... oh, and by the way, it's also been hammering down constantly here since I woke at 8am as well!

ok I officially have the most fabulous oh! He has agreed to go with the flat I want - on the plus side is the location & I love it on the cons - its very very small, we would need to get diff furniture to fit & there's no parking, we will have to have on street parking which will be a walk! But he loves me :j

Aww so happy for you guys! Glad you've found the flat you want too, when will you be moving?

I have made my best friends wedding anniversary gift as it's glass this year...

    Photo1634.jpg

    What do you think?

I made it using glue and embossing powder and the back is sticky back plastic with pink glitter but it's silver glitter on the other side :D there's a little tag on it which says happy anniversary and I restrug it and sowed the bow on myself :D

Just £1.99 in hobbycraft so not bad!

Very impressive, especially for only £1.99! I am glad the nearest Hobbycraft is about a 30min drive away from me else I'd be buying things all the time, I'm not very good at these things though :o

Fantastic! That's what I like to hear :) Well, read...lol. Your friend's Mexican birthday do sounds like great fun, I may have to do that for mine next year!

I did a bit of a naughty last night & spent a bit more then I should...only £10 more then planned & fortunately the money is there, but I wanted to try & save a bit this month to carry over to next month's "fun" money. Ah well, it was fun though, despite a certain ex friend being around...was really strange we always just ignore each others presence these days (usually we're in a big enough group that it's actually quite easy to do) but she tried to speak to me this time, I've just dyed my hair again & she said the colour really suited me...weird!

Anyway, today's plan (I have managed to waste most of the day doing absolutely nowt, so really need to get motivated now!):-

    • [STRIKE]Heating off[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Food from stores[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check for surveys[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Enter comps[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Charge phone via pc[/STRIKE]
    • Complete at least 1 frog list item - decluttering the desk sounds good!
    • [STRIKE]Check out freebie/comp boards[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Hang up washing to dry[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check online banking & shift funds around[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Dinner from meal plan[/STRIKE]
My list seems really small today, strange...anyway better crack on, have a great, moneysaving day everyone x

Just a quickie - was looking for a Father's Day card and found this...

Completely free from Funky Pigeon - I've been through the process and it works - got an email confirmation of the order straight away

Get Free Fathers Day card worth £2.99 when you go
to www.funkypigeon.com and choose your card
then you need to use code FUNKYFREE when
    you go to checkout

    Hope it helps someone?

I am trying to use this...however it keeps freezing on me when I try to enter my address  Is anyone else having the same problem?

Thanks for the code anyway, if it ever works I will have a nice free one for next year! (Already bought one for this year).

You can use them to get rewards off the cravendale website - you need 12 codes for an item such as a mug, plate, egg cup. 1point comes from 1x2l bottle. I've got the tea, coffee sugar jar I wanted and still have some milk in the fridge. The offer ends in 14 days so I didn't want to waste my spares.

The funky pigeon worked OK for me - huge thanks to Rachel and the person who copied her post. I had a card, but I figured I could save my card for next year - didn't even have to buy a stamp :D

Had a tough day at work but managed not to end up in tears. Every hour at work is a bit more off my debt.

Finally sold an old, wonky laptop through Gumtree.

Took a store-cupboard lunch to work.
