On my t&c from last March it depends on when it was "purchased" and not "ordered". That is ambiguous - they usually "connect" the day it's sent out - so if it was sent out in October the March bill would be correct IF they are on MY t&c. However, with Mobiles it would have been the April bill. If they have not read and understood the t&c correctly and the phone was despatched in September the correct bill would have been February, unlike Mobiles which would indeed be March. A LOT of people get the months wrong - they always have and always will - in this instance if the wrong bill was sent it was a month late; if it was the correct bill then it WAS recieved on time (JUST) and there is no real problem forcing E2Save to pay (they have in the past been - amongst other things - totally incapable of adding up OR following their own t&c, though of late they have improved a lot). This should make things clear for the OP - they need to check the correct bill according to their t&c and the invoice. It really is that simple. Wrong bill - no case; right bill - no problem.

As important, all subsequent claims need to be right AND sent MUCH sooner. IF they have got this one wrong they need to bring forward future claims by one month. Either way, they need to send the bills as soon as they receive them. If it WAS the correct bill they are extremely lucky; Royal Mail have a long track record of NOT showing receipt with recorded delivery items to this dealer. It sounds as if on this occasion they did - otherwise byebye claim even if it were the right bill (though they have been known to accept the recorded delivery number SOMETIMES). Since E2Save are pretty good nowadays at sending a text message confirming receipt and acceptance within a few days - and you need neither claim form nor original bill - sending normal post gives more than ample time to re-send by whatever means if needbe (and saves wasting money on Royal Mail).

Coincidentaly, I received my latest cheque from them today 25 days after the statement date so I could have sent the claim many times over and still been within the 60 days.

This should have been asked earlier.
Can ddjones90 say when the contract commenced?? Hopefully it was October.

I actually prefer the e2save schedule, claims all paid before end of contract.

Phone ordered 22th April 2010 and connected on the 24th. I was claiming for month 12. I'm confident it is the right bill as Month one counts as April.

Thanks, we are getting there now.

This was your 3rd claim and not the 1st.

    April contract.
    1st claim - Sept
    2nd claim - Dec
    3rd claim March

Excellent news - go get your cash.

Yep. Correct bill therefore you can enforce it exactly as advised. Be form and don't !!!!!-foot around - otherwise they'll mess you around for as long as you care to let them!

Edit - apparently MSE doesn't like cats...
  • Good news guys,
