macfly nothing surprises me anymore with buyers and sellers on ebay.
I echo that, selling some tickets and got a message asking if i can confirm that the tickets are genuine!!!!, i had had a few drinks and was tempted to reply that, no they werent genuine, in fact they were forgeries, and i was simply trying to scam some poor sucker, but common sense prevailed.Thankyou Sir Alex for 26 years0 -
OP you did nothing wrong, sellers decide the starting price, and the lower it is the cheaper their fees...
You can decide your maximum bid, but ebay will automatically only apply the minimum required, you would have not been able to pay more anyway.
Stupid, rude, definitely a bit fat neg, and don't forget the low stars.0 -
Thank you all for your help and comments, much appreciated.
She came back to me after I had paid being abusive and asking if I was thick and did I not understand that I wasn't having the top!!!
I've just politely asked her to refund me and I'm going to leave her negative comments.
Its such a shame as I really wanted that top too! Oh well never mind!
Thanks all again

Don't just leave a neg, go through the whole INR. She'll get a strike for NPS.
Hopefully another top like it will come along soon.0 -
And don't threaten a neg, never a good idea. It has been known for Ebay to remove neg comments if they have previosuly been threatened.
And if you sell and buy on the same account, block her ID also.2 angels in heaven :A0 -
I would just add - don't get involved with an email correspondance with her. Just raise the INR and then leave appropriate feedback when it's over.0

i would only add that the first thing i sold on ebay and i havent sold much was a free weekend entry so i started the item at 99 pence and thats what it did,i was gutted but let the buyer have it,i found out later there was a drop down box for a reserve but i know now
this very day an article i put on from last weeks free weekend with a no reserve starting bid of £15 got no bids, but ive just had a message asking if i will sell it outside of ebay for a £10
so OP well done for taking the good advice on here0 -
Make sure you file for non performance against the seller and follow through with the negs and low DSR's.
Theres no place for someone like that on Ebay.0 -
What an awful seller. I sold a couple of Next items that were bnwt and was sure they would go for a good price. They ended up going for 99p and £1.04. Was obviously miffed but sent them without a seconds thought as that's the spirit of ebay! Some you win etc0
