I just seem very dissatisfied with my lot at the moment.
And why would you be satisfied with it?The NE seems to have an absolute dearth of jobs at the moment
It always does during a recession.and I can't survive on the money I have coming in. Going to see my dad tomorrow and I am absolutely dreading it - is this just a temporary glitch while I get a foot wedged in the door or am I going to find it an absolute nightmare to get a job because there aren't any local ones and the distant ones will employ someone local to them.
Distant ones will just employ the best people (assuming everyone is a stranger). They take the view that it is the distant one's problem as to how they get to work.We will be having a serious chat (not helped by the fact we have a difficult relationship anyway with serious issues of respect)
You will always be his little girl to him unfortunately, and you will always feel yourself being drawn back into that role.and I don't think I'll be coming away feeling like a 44 year old woman in charge of her life.
Will you be going there feeling like that?Do have about 5 jobs to apply for all over the place. But there appears to be NO bar jobs in the North East. Honestly it could be a comedy if it wasn't so tragic.
What about supermarket jobs? Try to get in before the school leavers/prospective students.Feeling very flat.

Yes you are right. Thanks for all your support Z. I have a file of my job applications and have done a budget so I'm feeling slightly better. Feel like I have wrestled back some control into my life.

Have negotiated a supplement to fill the gap between my outgoings and ingoings. Things are going to be tight for a few months but hopefully a job will arrive at some point in the next few months.
Will be holding my breath this week as money goes in hopefully in time to counter money coming out. Think a trip down to the bank is in order tomorrow.
Right print CV off for rejigging, gardening and then applications!

Not really. Plan A is to get a job anywhere in the country. So don't really have a plan B - maybe sell the house and emigrate to Australia, but not workable in the short term. The current government don't have a Plan B.
