Still waiting for my cashback too. My new supplier started at the end of July and I had what seems to be the standard confirmation email of switch email from them on 19th June. Rung them and got answerphone as others have said.
I switched from EDF to NPower and was shocked when I got a letter saying my DD for the electricity was set at £55 a month! I'm a single person working two jobs so spend very little time at home so I was not going to pay this much! With EDF it was only £13 so I rang NPower and changed the amount, they said they got this information from Simplyswitch.
Disappointed.
It doesn't sound like 90 days from application is up yet.
Where do you think nPower got their figures from if not simplywitch? Why do you think simplyswitch would not have passed on the figures you supplied?
£13 per month (£156 per year) seems an extremely low amount for electricity usage. Whats your annual consumption in kWh?"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Received this email yesterday evening from SimplySwitch:
Quote:
"
Cashback:
We are aware there have been some delays in providing vouchers or cashback. This is usually because either the correct link wasn’t followed from the MoneySavingExpert site, or we have not been correctly advised by your new supplier (sometimes their administration leaves a lot to be desired!).
If you have switched and have not yet received your vouchers or cashback can you please email us at cashback@simplyswitch.com with your name and address and we will arrange payment straight away.
If you are still waiting for your switch please save this email and contact us as soon as your switch is complete.
"
Hope that helps!

Yes my usage is very low. I was paying £6 a month for almost a year with EDF and I asked to increase the DD because winter was coming and I went a few pounds in debit. My annual electricity consumption 643kwh and my gas was 3437kwh. (figures from my edf annual statement) So you can understand why £55 a month was a bit of a shock!
I will wait until my 90 days are up and then chase it.0 -
I to have tried ringing regarding the cashback and there is nobody to talk to.I have emailed Mike but have had no response. Is this a con? Has anyone received their £40 and if so how long did it take and how did they receive it please.:(0

I've just changed my dual fuel through USwitch and am awaiting the wine voucher following a chase up e-mail. Changed through Simplyswitch around 18 months ago and got caught out with the claim period on the John Lewis voucher offer, would never use them again as it is a con.0

I switched through the Simply Switch link earlier in the year. I contacted them when the 3 months had elapsed and was informed Amazon vouchers were to be issued at the end of July. Of course I've received nothing and a further 2 emails have been ignored. On this basis I definitely would not recommend them.0

Disappointed.Well my 90 days are up now ans no sign of my cashback. :-(
OMG... on the 90th day from application and you checked to see if the money dropped into your bank account and it didn't?
Call the police, call Ofgem, call your MP ... how dare they? Get them shut down immediately
(Whilst you are on the phone, you may wish to call Simply Switch, and explain how impatient you clearly are and enquire as to where your cashback is)
Cash back will be paid approximately 90 days after your application date ..."Now to trolling as a concept. ....
