The Melting Moments recipe I use is dead quick and easy.

    6oz sr flour
    4oz cornflour
    2oz icing sugar
    8oz marg
    1/2 tsp milk

Chuck all in FP. Whizz. Take wee balls about cherry size and put on tray. Flatten with wet fork or heel of hand.
Gas mark 4 for 15 mins. Cool on tray.
Sandwich together with whatever you fancy. Today I made them with some lemon buttercream.

These are very light and melt-in-the-mouth. So be careful, they are easy to break when you are putting the buttercream on. I just put a wee bit with the back of a spoon and then gently press together.

(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

NPM  I hope you are ok now (((((((hugs))))))

beemuzed (slight huggy and :kisses3:) for DH. You should push him to see a doctor.
Went shopping this morning ....Oh what joy :p I hate food shopping and things must be getting worse because Aldi was heaving, it is not normally as busy on a Thursday morning but in the last few weeks it has really been packed out.

Went into Oxfam and fell in love with a floor standing torchiere and it was only £4.99 DH said I couldn't have it  so I have phoned DD to pick it up for me :p I just hope it is still there - i will try and post a piccie if I get it

Dinner tonight is stuffed mushrooms with peppered steak

    take care everyone x

NPM hope you are having a better day today.

    Beemuzed hope OH is improving

Thanks for the good wishes again, yes I did manage to sleep last night, think I was so tired after being up all the night before that an army could have tried to break in and I wouldnt have heard them lol Mind you DD1 did stay the night with me, I have told her to go sleep at home tonight - I will have to get used to being on my own and not panicking some time so the sooner the better I reckon!

Has been my official day off today (as opposed to the enforced one yesterday waiting in for locksmith) so went for a wander round the city centre, then cut grass etc this afternoon and did a bit of weeding. Not sure what to have for tea, maybe jacket potato with something, at least I can just please myself now and not have to cater for anyone else:o

Hope you are all having good days

    x

By the way thanks for the congratulations re weight loss, I have updated it as I have lost more since then, not the best way to do it, as lost alot of it just after marriage breakdown, when I couldn't eat but am eating really healthily now and it is still coming off slowly!

Think this lappie is on the way out - two and a half years old! Gets incredibly ( and I mean burningly!) hot and is getting slower and slower. Am seriously wondering about changing to apple - more expensive I know, but much longer life expectancy. Any apple users out there to convince me?

    Afternoon everyone

Been mia again, but have tried to read everyday. Got back from my mini break last Friday, then went to the village ball on fri night, sat was village festival and then sunday we had a bbq for 20 people(but it rained) so we ended up having a karoke evening, luckily we managed to cook the food before the heavens opened.

Monday was spent cleaning, tuesday ended up having to go to a meeting at work in the morning and then worked in the evening too. Not really enjoying the job much, am still looking for something else. Wednesday went to craft club and did a bit of cleaning then worked yesterday evening. Today has been catch up day with washing, cleaning etc. Managed to get house ins quote with same company online for £100 less than the quote they sent via the post.:j.

Just a quick question has anyone worked for any of the customer service companies from home? Is it worth your while?

NPM - (( hugs)) hope you are ok, glad the dr signed you off and you dont need to go back.
Beemuzed - Hope your dh is ok and not too sore after yesterday.
niclou - Glad you slept ok, give your dog a hug from me.
Tiredmum - know how you feel about the job, hope your interview on monday goes well.

I am sure I have missed someone, sorry if I have hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.

Many thanks to both Molly and Rosie for the Melting Moments recipes. Interesting that they're so different, yet have the same name.:o

I've snagged both, filed them away labelled with the person who posted them;) and when I have sufficient time and my wits about me (!) will be giving both a go.

    Thanks again, ladies.:A

How do you survive a day on 400calories?? That can't be more than about 4 crackers?? I'd have passed out on the walk! ( Can you see why I'm so much larger thqn I used to be???!) Glad you enjoyed the walk tho'!
Molly - how long have you had your macbook?

I'm another Mac fan. Haven't looked back since 'suffering' PCs for many years. Just as their advert used to say "It just works". I promise you that you won't regret it!
