Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 8th June. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning
up at silly o clock as usual with DS.
Not been on for a bit as having one of those weeks;)
Have an awful sinus cold and DS starting with it.
He is unsettled at school again and we had a bit of a shock yesterday when he was having a meltdown before school and he headbutted me full on in the face and knocked me out briefly
Just been making a list with him of what he needs me to discuss with his TA at school this morning.
Went to GP yesterday and she gave me a sick note for 2 more weeks, by which time I will be at the end of my notice period:T
Still feels odd that I have left work but it is one less thing to worry about.
Just about to go and make the packed lunches.
Must do some baking today and fill the tins.
will check back later
have good days everyone

Ouch, I hope you are ok after being knocked out.
Packups made, breakfast eaten, WM on, fish fed, next doors cat fed, hubby taken to the station.
DD2 isn't well, I popped in last night after work & will go again this morning to see how she is. I've made chicken & bacon pasta bake for me & hubby for tonight & made stoup with the chicken carcase & I shall take that to DD's with me.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning all ,
the sun is shining, and the sky is blue ,all my ironing is done and put away so the world couldn't get much better at the moment :)Thursday already .Today after the school run I shall swoosh through the house with the vacuum (techy term)and give the bathroom a quick swish.then its a bit of hand sewing I have been putting off for ages .Last year I bought a long cotton skirt that was sort of 'flounced' in layers and its very cool and comfortable during the summer with sandles.Well in the wash the 'flounces' seem to have slightly come apart so I shall sit and sew the lot up today as its one of my skirts I hope to wear on holiday (only 9 weeks next Sunday ) I know if I don't buckle down to doing it it will be holiday time before I know it.NSD today as I am going to have a sardine salad.I am determined to use my 'sardine mountain' up.Hope everyone has a good day I think it will be a nice one as I can clearly see the River Medway from my computer room window and that's usually a sign of good weather
Cheers chums

Morning all,
Bright day here again, off to work for me , and I will pick my dad up for an hour later, he really seems to like this home, he has been out for a walk everyday and he loves the food. Mum is home tomorrow, he will be so pleased to see her.
Dinner today is chips and beans with something from the freezer, will go and have a look in a while.
Will ask dd to hoover downstairs and tidy lounge and kitchen, its so nice to come home to it all done.
Will put a wash on tonight, and get the dogs out for a good run, we took them out last night and another deer ran right in front of dd :T was a beautiful sight.
Hope Nic managed to sleep ok xx
Have good days all xxx0 -

Good Morning All.
NPM - hope you're OK and that the week is improving for you.
Up early - was clinging to side of the bed as DS is clearly very sore after yesterday's escapade and I didn't want to inadvertantly roll into him and make things worse! Good thing is that I've almost caught up with the ironing again after last week's holiday. Need to get my course file updated and in good order as I have to submit it for moderation tomorrow. Also have a set of minutes outstanding from week before last. Hopefully by this evening all will be done. No washing to do today and enough bread made so those two machines can have a rest. Need to sort out the finances soon - have been a bit ostrich-like recently, and I daren't let things slip too much. Have no idea what we'll be eating today (another thing I've let slide). may need to be posting on the OS confessions thread shortly!!
Hope you all have a good day today. Take care.Resolution:
