OH watched it with me and 1/2 way thru I said I don't want to watch this anymore, but he wanted to watch the guy abseil, so carried on watching it. Most were a bit over the top bt all the guys hearts were in the right place I thought :)

OH friend was here today and he kept saying how much he had spent on his fiance's ring, I so wanted him to just shut up, I am worried OH will feel he has to keep up so to speak.

Thanks for all your good wishes about smear x

    HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!

Hope everyone has been spoilt today - or will be!

I have, he gave me my Pandora owl charm last night... made out like it was a ring but I knew what it was as he told me at the weekend lol

The collection looks like this now:

    IMG00479-20120214-0915.jpg

Bit blurry but I didn't want to take it off! It's getting heavy now though! All the charms except the owl and cat and bracelet were bought for me by the BF's mum last xmas, THE most generous family ever!

    So what did you get?!xxx

This crops up on here a fair bit, My oh would be mortified if I told anyone how much my ring was, I only found out by accident myself when we had to get it insured.

I have spoke about it on here, where no one knows me from Adam, but I think I would feel strange if I knew my oh was telling people how much he spent.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

Boosting from Prague here...it is beautiful but before you get excited on my behalf I'm pretty sure there is no proposal...I searched his luggage when he was in the bathroom (don't judge me you all would do the same!) and no ring in sight. Now that iMm sure at least it means I can just relax and enjoy myself and won't be disappointed. Hope everyone has a lovely valentine's!

My best friend got engaged 5 years ago her now husband asked me to help him choose something she liked. He has some serious pennies (parents were wealthy etc) so I never asked how much he was willing to spend, anyways... he got her a custom made diamond butterfly (as in the diamond is in the shape of a butterfly ) it is stunning and she loves butterflies so of course that was the one for her...

Her 'best friend' (they're not really best friends any more) is the sort of girl who it's all about how much you spend... splashed all over facebook that her ring cost over £5000... my bestie was so embarrassed... She didn't want to know and she certainly didn't want everyone else to know... (so now I am telling you but you don't know her so it's fine... lol!)

I was meant to be cheif bridesmaid for her wedding but we drifted apart (I knew her through her cousin - who I was dating - when we split up it was awkward to see her!) but about 6 months before the wedding we made up and we are bestest friends now... threw her a hen party at my house and we had a brilliant time - much better than what her hubby had planned :rotfl:

I don't want to know how much mine cost, right now I am still happy with a Harribo ring :o xxx

Sounds like everyone is having a great day so far, the bracelet is lovely RD! :D

My Valentines day SUCKS, I am sooooo upset with OH :(.

We agreed last week that we wouldn't do presents, just cards (as per every other year, which is fine). I got up and made him coffee this morning, as I do every morning and I took it in to the bedroom with his card and left him to open it.

After he got dressed he came and thanked me for his card and then told me that he hadn't even got me one yet, so I told him that there wasn't much point getting one now and then he says he didn't think we were doing them?! He NEVER listens to me :(. It's not like he has anything planned as a surprise tonight either as I am going to mums for dinner and he knows this.

He never remembers our anniversary either, not even when I had it printed on calendar for him showing all his families birthdays and anniversaries, yet when he forgot his mums and dads and she went ballistic at him he was round there like a flash with a card.

    Gutted.

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D
