My OH wants to propose to me, and to be honest i love him that much i wouldnt care about the ring (and i always said id say no if the ring was rubbish!!)

To be honest to get engaged it doesn't have to be a diamond ring there are different stones that you could consider.

Personally Id much rather have a smaller but better quality ring than a cheaper big cluster. Good luck!

Its not the venue, nor the ring that matter. Its not even what you say to her. What counts is the person asking you to marry them and how you feel about them.

My hubby could have asked me dressed in his jim jams over breakfast with a plastic ring out of a cracker and I would still have jumped at the chance to marry him. Haven't ever told him that though considering the effort he actually went to.

Your girlfriend obviously means the world to you and she would be mad if you dont mean the world to her too. I wish you loads of luck, you sound like a great guy. Do let us all know how it goes.

The proposal sounds amazing, I loved the fireworks over Cinderella's Palace The ring is beautiful as well. Glad you got a good deal, my OH and I picked the ring together as he looked at loads and wasn't sure. In the event we both picked the same one! (same stone rather, we had it reset on a different band). We got it from an independant, it's 0.5 carat white gold solitaire, can't quite remember the classification but it was a really good one. Bought it for £880, valued at £1400 (8 years ago now but we're not married yet :rotfl:).

Sure she'll say yes, but come and let us know.
