Then they should keeP the restaurant open.

yes that would be handy, but these days the safety of their staff comes first. they wont have as many staff overnight, but can you image they type of users overnight.

homeless wanting shelter, groups of youths causing trouble etc.

Quick better tell the UK government that MamaMoo is immune to The Road Traffic Act 1991
    http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1991/40/contents

also Jaywalking is now an offence in the UK like any road you can cross a road in a safe manner, but it is an offence to walk along a road unless a country road without a footpath and then you have to walk facing the traffic

Firstly, I said "afaik", not "I'm immune to any legal legislation"
Also, I meant to say the "Highway Traffic Act" that was mentioned is american.
Finally, my husband was on the footpath part of the drive thru.

    OK

jaywalking in the UK is one of these legislation that have been introduced by a suit in London, but the police forces have not been given any more resources to enforce it

jaywalking is still an offence punishable by the highway traffic act
Although the OP hasn't told us where this drive thru is, we can probably assume it is not in America.

The UK is outside the jurisdiction of the highway traffic act.

You could also try running through and pretending your cars just broke down at the drive thru entrance and you need food while you wait over an hour for the recovery :) You'll also need a different excuse every time.

the culinary high horse brigade are out even at this time of the morning.

good to see they have a nightwatch, lest somebody should profess a liking for a foodstuff they deem themselves better than.

This was covered a while back, in a way, when HGV drivers were banned, as they walked through the drive through
