My advice is do not listen to this women , She makes out they are all really stupid/lazy
You must have been watching a different programme from me. Annoying as Hayley is, she certainly never said anything that and was actually considerably more sympathetic and supportive than many of us would be faced with that father and daughter last night!0 -
I thought Jim was thouroughly entertaining and made the program.0

I watched this and I also watched some of the previous series. You`ve GOT to remember this is all for the camera and about making people and companies look good.
There`s 2 million people out of work, they take four people and three of them are in work all of a sudden. The forth did`nt want to take part in what she was teaching and he did`nt get a job offer, it`s sending out a clear signal. He later supposedly got a job off his own back.
Agreed the Area Manager job did sound like a pretty good job, would have been nice to know why he left.
It`s like on the Apprentice, they only keep certain ppl in because they cause friction between others, it makes good TV etc. Like when Gordon Ramsey goes into a kitchen and starts shouting at the chef, its hardly genuine but makes fun viewing0 -

Would be nice if she had an accountant, an engineer or company director in there as well.0 -
My advice is do not listen to this women , She makes out they are all really stupid/lazy and then gets them interviews with companys where she knows people , and then pretends to have done all the hardwork and get paid a forutne by channel 4 for the privelege , I have not seen one episode of this where they have not got a job at the end, either with or without her help0

Its that time again folks......A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A
If you find my posts useful, "pay it forward" and help someone else out, that's how places like MSE can be so successful.0 -
I take it that voluntary work hayley was on about is part of this back to work programme,0

Poor bloke. His life went down hill after loosing his job at McDonalds. Thought that was the job that people took as an absolute last resort.
Felt sorry for Scott. Glad he got the apprenticeship.
Liked the attitude of the old boy on voluntery work. Standing-there eating a bag of crisps whilst the other two worked-on. If Hayley had asked me why I was standing-round whilst two blokes shovelled manure, I would have replied "I'm supervising"
I'd like to see a program where they expose just how much Tax payers money companies like A4E and ATOS make for their 'services'. I wonder if A4E has a sister company that works as a recruitment agency placing A4E's 'clients' into short-term temporary work just so A4E can pick-up their 'handling fee' from the Govt.?.Never Knowingly Understood.

First time watching this tonight and gotta say. Pure car crash TV. Take a sorry bunch of no hopers and teach them basic skills. Utter madness.
The fact at least 2 of them slept in for job club just goes to show how lost these people are. They dont need back to work interviews they need professional counselling.
The 50yr old turning up for an interview in jeans topped it all off.
Ive been made redundant 3 times in 10 years. But I wouldnt let myself get to the point where I needed to attend one of her classes. There are jobs there for the taking, you just have to go and look. Standing in the Job centre for 1 hour a week isnt what I call looking for a job.Credit card and overdraft at 18. 2 loans and 3 storecards at 20. University education flushed down the toilet through debt at 22. Car finance at 23. Car repossessed at 24. Rock bottom at 25. Learnt my lesson 26-33. Now 34 with a mortgage on an affordable house, a car paid for with cash and a bank account in credit. I learnt the hard way.0 -
yawn same format every week. What chance would the people if there were no cameras filming them?:footie:0
