The government pays upto £194 per customer taken off benefits to A4E, thats even if they are put in a temporary job and end up signed on again after a short period.

Makes the people that have these contracts very rich and not actually creating jobs, getting people off benifits or giving them qualifications and skills.

Maybe it would be better if they concentrated on those with skills that could command more than the min actually making the work they do pay, for example above the min wage, not having to claim tax credits in stead of welfare benefits and therefore be contributing.

Would like to see what spin they put on that then.

would it make such good car crash tv though?
The program is all about getting the Supposed Workshy off benefits into work, even the one women who wanted a job little miss perfect tried to have a go at .

those with skills tend to want to work and so she couldnt do her holy the thou routine which means the prog would be a little boring lol

it all made for Tv and all the jobs and the phonecalls are a set up? I feel sorry for the people who went for the jobs they had no chance really when they were competing against people from the Tv. They get their name free on the Tv and they might have been paid to take people on. Not really a true representative of way it is?

a4e will get paid £9,400 for getting someone a job who used to claim incapacity benefit. the work programme

if a4e can get a young person on Jobseekers Allowance a sustained job they get £2,400. the work programme

Essentially the people who got the contracts have been made very rich, ok so it employed lots of people also, must be nice to get a "senior admin job" paying £45k a year.

My friend said they sit in the office most days and just have to manage a small team of admin staff. They even get a performance related bonus, but its just an amount they get for doing there job, there is no target or requirement. They openly admit that theres so much waste going on and they spend half the day on face book and online shoppping. Last time we spoke they was hoping to get promoted so they actually had somthing to do.

What resonated with me was when she wrote on her whiteboard "87 billion" and then said "This is what people on out of work benefits cost the Government each year"
What was needed was someone to take her marker pen and write "119 billion" on that whiteboard and then say "This is what carers save the Government each year.
Im wiilling to bet something like that would not be broadcast though. It wouldnt fit with their propaganda.

Its channel 4 though, its what makes a program.

If there was no unemployed there would still be unemployed as the people who have jobs because of the unemployed would have no unemployed to look after would they?
