where did you get this from?

it was on the bottom of an email Tesco sent out today about Clubcard rewards news :)

does anyone remember when they had really good points offers like 100 points on Johnsons baby stuff and 200 on Dove shampoos and conditioners? would be great if it was like that this time but somehow I doubt it

i predict it will be extra point son overpriced items on which they inflate prices beforehand and not on "deal" or loss leader items that we all generally buy in bulk anyway

yeah but that would only be worth it for me if item was a loss leader/on offer in asda, i'm not that interested in bulk buying "normal" stuff as i have a several years supply of non perishables following DTD

a loss leader is something really cheap just to get you into the shop. they dont make any money on that item but hope you buy other stuff to make up for the loss.

    loss leader

Good or service advertised and sold at below cost price. Its purpose is to bring in (lead) customers in the retail store (usually a supermarket) on the assumption that, once inside the store, the customers will be stimulated to buy full priced items as well
