So unless it is a deal that you would spend on anyway, its not worth spending more that £1 to get 100 points.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. So you can get a return flight to Zone 2 for 1,500 Airmiles, is that correct? So that means you could get 6 return flights then to Zone 2 with 10,000 points? That's a lot, am I missing something here???
You only get 50 miles for every £2.50 in clubcard vouchers (250 points) so in theory you would only get 2000 miles from 10,000 clubcard points. It's been a while since I've used them, so please feel free anyone to correct the maths if needed; but it certainly wouldn't be 10,000 airmiles I'm afraid.0 -

That's correct, hence why I said it was nearly 3 flights for me (@ 750 airmiles each way).
Managed to get out to our other place at Xmas (eventually!) and Easter on BA with my airmiles so that saved a pretty penny - 5 of us
Hence why I need to replenish the airmiles bank.
One little tip is to use your full quota of ink cartridge points - 30 x 100 points gives another 3000 points, nearly enough for a flight.:cool:0 -

So unless it is a deal that you would spend on anyway, its not worth spending more that £1 to get 100 points.
It can be for me and my flights...
1 flight = 3750 clubcard points.
A typical offpeak BA flight is £80 for me.
So each 100 points = £80/(3750/100) = £2.13
But it gets better...
Xmas flights quickly get booked and increase in price so that the offpeak £80 can easily become £150 (and that's provided you book 6 months ahead! Closer to the time, we're talking more like £400 each way!!!)
So for me at Xmas, 100 points = £150/(3750/100) = £4.00
OK that's stretching a point because so far when paying we've always managed to get Xmas flights for about £80 each way because we book early, but you could certainly justify paying more than £1 for 100 points.
The ink cartridge trick gets you a flight for under £40.:rotfl:;):rotfl:;)

I've recently ordered a printer and will need to buy refilss but I can't see anything on the Direct website that says anything about extra points. Would you point me in the right direction please?0 -

Tesco willll give you 100 green Clubcard points for each one you recycle or you can choose to donate up to £1 to their Charity.
You just have to post them the empty cartridge in their freepost envelope, available in store. They don't accept all cartridges though. They accept these :- http://www.tesco.com/assets/greenerliving/content/documents/pdfs/inkjet_cartridges.pdf
Hope this helps:hello: Danigrace :hello:0 -

I like it! So every cartridge = 100 Clubcard points = £1 in vouchers = 20 miles?
How you do get your hands on 30 ink cartridges? Buy em on eBay? :jElite 5:2 #54 12/13 lbs (18 Jan) 1st Target :j0 -
There will probably be extra points on spanish cucumbers and german bean sprouts so I guess we will be eating lots of cucumber stir frys!
