    Lou this pregnancy has not caused any problems, your husband's idiot insensitive family has. This baby is longed for, will be much loved and will have a long line of MSE aunties waiting for a wee look. I will be beating them all back to be first in the queue. Take no notice, I know its hard, but you know you want this baby, dad wants this baby and your boy will be over the moon to have a baby brother or sister. You three are the only ones whose opinion matters. And me of course ;):D xxx

    rant alert :mad::mad:

    just had hubbys nan over :mad: she said she came to see how we got on with the midwife on sunday. instead she sat there and went on and on about hubbys cousin wife who 22weeks pregnant... how they believe all the foods you're told not to eat in pregnancy is rubbish, she still eats brie, pate etc etc. they think that so therefore they must be right! (they can do no wrong btw) how she is doing everything so right, buying top of the range this that and the other etc etc.... how special their baby is going to be because she had a miscarriage in november! completely insensitive to the fact we miscarried in october and have had a few before then. plus another baby at 24 weeks :(

    wish his family would just p!55 right off at the moment. the only one who is being the slightest bit supportive is his 20yr old cousin/ds' godmother. sat here in floods of tears because i am so angry. hubby went mad at her for her last comment about it being such a special baby. this pregnancy has done nothing but cause problems :(

    :grouphug: Lou....I know its not much help and easy for me to say try & ignore them. Is it possible to be "out" or "busy" in another room if any of them come round?

    Lou - Jackie is right........I think perhaps a quiet word from your H to his insensitive family might be in order to point out that you are in the same boat as this cousin. I didn't know about your previous miscarriages (including the loss of your baby at 24 weeks) so please accept a big virtual hug and a squeeze from me xxxx your pregnancy has not caused problems, it people who ought to engage brain before opening their gob :mad:

    Hester - I can't wait to see pics ;)

    (((((Lou)))))

    Bahamas is booked :j:j:j:j whilst it's not very MSE/OS we have got a good deal. I have booked hotel via our friend (the bride's) Canadian travel agent and the flights here in UK, and saved over £1)))PP compared to the UK package price!! Also went via Quidco for flights (£15) and got 200 Nectar points, and paid on my M&S CC so I'll get points and it's 0% interest!

    (((hugs))) to those who need them today. Not much OS here today as all I have done is plant a few flower plants in the front garden and pottered about crafting. Did make a sausage and egg plait for dinner tonight but thats all. My brain went away with the fairies while I was in the newsagents and I bought an expensive craft magazine. Very disappointed with the content when I got it home so a complete waste of money. Oh well tomorrows another day.

    You always get one in a family who has a mouth in gear and brain in neutral :mad: Just don't invite her round when the baby is born let her go and pi55 DH's cousin off.

    You know what? It's not worth the energy stressing about it! Sweetie, just put your cloth ears on when they start; you know how special your baby is going to be, and that's what counts. To Hel with what they think. Just because they're DH's rellies, doesn't mean you have to like them or listen to their drivel. (((HUG))) Oh, and I agree with floss - be "busy" when they want to visit.;)

    The strawberry jam is made; 1 large (as in Kilner jar size) and 4 small (as in normal jam-jar size) jars of it. And it tastes wonderful!;):D
