Loulou - I hate ginger too but it does help with my nausea (vertigo!). I find sipping a small amount of ginger beer help.

JackieO - :rotfl:. But it is awful how this current generation are not able to write formally. I work with 16-25 year olds and it's so apparent that most struggle with it :(

    esmf - ((((hugs))))

Strange weather here, pulled up to car park this morning in glorious sunshine, got out of car and it was pouring down! Been like that all day.

Today I was helping a colleague out with his team. They were doing an activity day at old people's home. We played bingo, quizzes, chatted and they had a singer in the afternoon. The old people really enjoyed, and it was good to see the work kids come out of their shells and chat with the old people :)

After work I went to view the penthouse again. We are going to go for it :D just need to toss a coin for the big bedroom now! :rotfl:

I'm now waiting for my friend to come over and we are going to book our flights to Bahamas for our friend's wedding :j:j:j. We did mention going out for dinner but I may offer to cook instead.

OS wise - DW loaded and will go on overnight, need to make lunch for tomorrow

    Have a good evening all

Evening all!! Am home :) Have stolen pup from OH and taken him home with me (also found two GORGEOUS dogs in the road where i went to get my pup - no collars ,but in wonderful condition, they ran off into a property so assume they've just escaped)

Having a cuppa and some rice krispie cake (made with sugar free marshmallows, to technically, they're good for you!) OH is working late, so will sort my dinner out when i'm hungry and make him something later.

Also need to make him a tuna pasta salad for his lunch tomorrow - i have the day off! :D

Have a lovely evening all x

i have just woken up from a 2hr sleep :D was shattered after swimming. ds is too. just had a bath and then he is going up to bed. we picked him up from nursery and then took him straight swimming. stayed in the pool just over an hour. he had great fun jumping in from the edge and going down the slide. he even managed to a litle doggy paddle on his own in just arm bands :D

soup for dinner tonight. going to try and eat some porridge with chopped banana before bed tonight to see if that helps.

hope everyone has had a good day :)

So, just went up to the loo. Shut baby (aged 2.2) in the living room. I came out of the bathroom to discover he can open the living room door, climb the stairs & shut the stair gate behind him.
We don't have a stair gate at the bottom as dh broke it by "saving time" by climbing over it but getting caught on the catch & breaking it.
I may have to get one. He can pay for it though.

your ds must be the same age as mine :D

we gave up with stairgates when ds kept trying to climb them :rotfl: we still have them there but rarely close them. he's really good with the stairs now and just goes up and down as easily

bitsy - will try the olbas oil as i love the smell :D

Actually managed to get up to the lottie this afternoon and did a bit of hoeing. Picked a bowl each of strawberries and raspberries from the garden and made some jelly with the fruit in much to the family's delight.
Thank you to whoever posted the spicy chickpeas recipe. I am not keen on them, but dh likes them, so I made them today and can't stop having a spoonful as I pass. Yummy!
Made another recipe I found involving a tomato and red onion etc salad with chunks of bread all mixed up. Made chicken cacciatore in the SC but it looks awful.

    Hi all,

Been following the Daily, but not felt up to posting - however, I have a wee idea re the following:

Do you have another room, away from the bedroom, that you could pop the BM in on a table to do it's work overnight? Just an idea - and it's what I'd do.:o)QUOTE

I'll have to have a think where else I could put the BM,s'pose it could go in the garage on the shelf in there - I'll try it,thanks Lame Wolf. Hope your jamming goes well, and you find some spoons.Strawbs are still too dear around here yet to make jam,but I'm keeping my eyes open when I go on the market-we've nearly exhausted last years supply.

I made chicken curry for tea,DH just rang to say he's on his way home.
I'm still not happy with the neck of one dress I made-its really low.Ok a bit of asset showing is fine, but you can see my underwear .I might put a little piece of white under, and see what it looks like.It was only for everyday anyway so it could work.I'm pleased with the other one I did though, and thats more for going out.

Looks like we may have new neighbours soon, the landlady was meeting possible new tenants today, caught a brief glimpse, mother & 18 yr old daughter,2 sons at uni.Hope theyre quiet :)

Right best be offski, have a good night x

Just went to waitrose and got 2 punnets of blackberries reduced. I love that their offers i.e 2 for £4 still stand even though the punnets were £1.85 each - so got £1.35 discounted off the total! Also got some fresh crusty rolls for 8p each, so OH will be please with his lunch tomorrow - will keep pasta salad for when we're living off the storecupboard in a few weeks!

Going to make mini pavlovas with some strawbs from the garden and the blackberries - also have some kiwis and a pineapple so could do some exotic themed ones too - will keep an eye out for reduced passionfruits in time for the weekend, would be a nice saturday night desert!

    rant alert :mad::mad:

just had hubbys nan over  she said she came to see how we got on with the midwife on sunday. instead she sat there and went on and on about hubbys cousin wife who 22weeks pregnant... how they believe all the foods you're told not to eat in pregnancy is rubbish, she still eats brie, pate etc etc. they think that so therefore they must be right! (they can do no wrong btw) how she is doing everything so right, buying top of the range this that and the other etc etc.... how special their baby is going to be because she had a miscarriage in november! completely insensitive to the fact we miscarried in october and have had a few before then. plus another baby at 24 weeks :(

wish his family would just p!55 right off at the moment. the only one who is being the slightest bit supportive is his 20yr old cousin/ds' godmother. sat here in floods of tears because i am so angry. hubby went mad at her for her last comment about it being such a special baby. this pregnancy has done nothing but cause problems :(
