When I entered my final code of the 7 of 8 needed for my second reward (which was for the Mail on Sunday on 3 Jul, as I had missed the Saturday paper that weekend) the website stated clearly that if I also had Saturday's code, then I must enter it first before entering the Sunday code, and asked me to verify that I did NOT want to enter a code for Saturday, before it accepted my Sunday code.

My second £5 Tesco card arrived in the post today. I din't buy the Mail today, and don't intend to continue collecting codes as whilst £2.30 for the first £5 was a no-brainer, and an additional £6 or so (along with 5 more newspapers) for the second £5 was good value, it is harder to justify the £7.70 or £8.40 for the next gold reward (as I don't plan on visiting the cinema or Pizza Express anytime soon).

0844 number for such an event just asks the same question over and over, and is costing money - so I eventually hung up!

Each weekend's numbers have to be registered online by the following Wednesday. If you're out of the country on holiday or on business, tough luck!

I sent an online enquiry mentioning that our newsagent will save our papers and got a pathetic response:

Totally inappropriate in my opinion. I'd have thought they'd offer a way of doing this properly for their regular readers. After all, this promotion is designed to generate reader loyalty. That response does not make me feel at all loyal.
