£80/m for soffit/guttering?

Shouldn't need to pay more than £45/m, had mine done for a little less than that (after haggling) recently, including new downpipes, and an extra board which you may not need. Access was also difficult, which probably added to the cost. It took a lot longer than half a day - (maybe 12m is possible in half to one day), and they worked their socks off and didn't cut corners. A terraced house is probably much simpler, so I'd be aiming at something in the 30's. That £80 price will probably come down dramatically when you decline their quote.

I'm sure they made a tidy profit, but that's why people go into business. The raw materials are relatively cheap, but there is far more to running a business than the price of the plastic. A smaller job is going to have a bit of extra loading to make it worthwhile turning up.

If you do haggle it down, make sure they fit exactly what you have paid for - ie you can't see bird proofing from ground level, and there are different qualities of plastic.
