    Hi Kashie,
you are only excluded from court fees if you actually file IN court and not on MCOL.
My sister is also on benefits and took in her proof of income support and a recent bank statement, then filled in an N1 form and it was all accepted with no costs. She has done this for 2 claims now.

If you are on jsa contribution and wftc can you still claim this with no costs.

You need three copies (I advise getting at least one spare). You can get these at your local county court. Ask there whether you will have to pay any fees at the same time. They will advise you if you have to pay, and what proof they would need if you do qualify for fee exemption.

Thanks for that. But does this mean that i cannot register my claim on line and if so how do I go about issuing the claim to the bank?

What department should the OP be looking for when entering the County Court?

Are there any online links, websites, search facilities that will allow the OP to find his/her local County Court.

Post #6 in THIS THREAD. You can find your local county court along with address/telephone number.

Thank you Rex, just spoken to my local county court, and they are sending me out all the relevant information and claim packs.

If you are on benefits, you may qualify to issue a court claim for free. You cannot do this online, you must issue the claim in your local county court. It's the same process/court action, just done a little bit differently.

  • I am at the point of making my court application has Nat West 14 days are up, they have replied saying they are dealing with it and will get back to me as soon as possible so I'm sticking to the schedule and filing in court. My problem is I did on at moneyclaimonline and when I got to the end it said court costs were to be £250:eek: We are claiming £7k + interest and really need that money cos we are at rock bottom, I dont have £250 available to me and Ive been told that if you are on benefits you can claim at the courts and you dont have to pay. Is this true and even though I work does child tax credit count as benefit, cos if it doesnt we are stuffed.:o Does anyone know please:confused:
