SAHM paying off debts slowly

Morning
On our mot there is always an advisory about not being able to check seat belts because we have car seats in the back so maybe this is what he means? We've never failed because of that though?
Take the parcel and your stamps to the post office and ask them how many you need to use might save you some money

Thanks DFW the onsie was from her boyfriend Max
Parcel sent using stamps that i already have so that worked well.We had some time in town before playgroup started so we browsed a few shops which ment i bought some bits
Must leave purse at home as i cant go into a shop without seeing something that will be useful or that we need.
Anyway car left this morning and i forgot to get seats out so really hope they can test belts or OH will be hell to live with. Cant wait for car - i walked 8.83 miles yesterday according to my pedometer!
I also got my gas and elec bill through - need to read meters and hope its lower than they think. At mo for the 3 months both together come to £116 leaving me with £50ish in my account to go toward next 1/4's bill. Hoping we havent used that much. I also need to look into putting more elect items on at night as night time rate is over 50% less but not sure what time the night rate starts?Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Well i wrote a huge long post and lost it - very annoying so here goes again and fingers crossed
I cant believe that it is over a month ago since i last posted. Since then we have had 2 more birthdays so DS is now 6 and DD has just turned 3. Lots of busyness has gone on and birthday cakes made.
My major focus since last time has been my teeth. Finally they have been removed - all 8 that needed to be. On friday i had a GA in hospital and they are now all gone. Was hoping the tooth fairy may bring me lots of money for them but not a penny! I am only in pain from the ulcers that have appeared which are probably from me stressing too much. No swelling and no pain - if only i had have know it would have been this good. Anyway still cant eat much other than soup, yoghurts and mash potato as need gums to heal first before i start eating on them.
Mum was here from USA for half term upto Sunday when she went to stay with her mum and brother. 3 weeks is plenty to share personal space with her, as much as i love having her here. She stayed a little longer to look after me and to take care of the kids on friday as i was gone for most of the day. Its nice to load the dishwasher when i like rather than being ordered to tide - its my house dont you know
Well with teeth over and done with i can now focus my attention onto christmas - yay. I have my budget and an idea for most people so just need to get buying. I already have the childrens pressies ready but need a few more bits for their stockings.
The general budget for house is not in great shape as i have done far too much food shopping since mum arrived (considering my limited diet over this time) so now she has gone i am planning to use freezer bits and limit the amount of supermarket trips required. Serious work is needed to rebuild bank balances.
Well i hope everyone is okMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Oh bless you ((((hugs)))) I hope the teeth weren't too painful (Before, during and after removal!!!) I hope you heal quickly so you can get on with preparing for xmas
I am getting very excited now
just need to buy the kids toys now
I told them to choose one thing to ask santa for and they were like 'oh mum one isn't much' so i said ok, choose 3 to give santa an idea of what you would like. So they bring me their lists (they cut out pics from catalogues and stuck on card) and there is at least £300 on each child's list
HUH!!!!! So now to try and figure out what they like the most/what they would play with the most as I am NOT spending that much on each child
!

Oh dear re their xmas lists. In our house santa doesnt bring electrical items
They have little bits and pieces from santa just like we used to when we were younger. I have got the older 2 dsi's but they are seconds hand - still plenty of life left in them yet though plus a few second hand games. They kids will be thrilled with this and although its not the latest version of the handset they will not care. I am still on the lookout for a bike for the youngest but sure one will pop up somewhere soon thats in our budget.
My great aunt died back in sept and mum has just told me what she is likely to receive from the will. £200K!!! Her new hubby wants to move south america where i do not believe it is a safe and friendly place to be - we certainly would not be visiting. Feel mum is being brainwashed by him as she thinks he is fountain of knowledge when all he really does is look things up on the internet. Just hope she doesnt waste her retirement fund listening to him. I dont care if there is any left for my inheritance but really dont want her wasting that amount of money.
Teeth are fine - one of them i worked out had been broken at least 15 years so definately needing to be removedReally looking forward to being able to eat roast pork or chicken or some crisps and biscuits! Have lost half a stone in last 3 weeks so guess its not all bad

Good morning to you - well i have yet again been a brave girl (if only you all knew) and been back to the dentist as 1/4 of my mouth just didnt feel like the other 3/4. Turns out i have a dry root which i believe is an infection in the bone. I now have some medicine and the remaining pain should disappear soon. Its not really painful but enough for me to realise that a visit was needed
On good side though i went back to the better dentist surgery as they now have space for me. So £18 for looking and £8 ish for meds and that was me for the day. Although not a bravery sticker in sight!
Spent a few more pennies up town from xmas budgets on advent calendar bits. In previous years when i have bought them early i have had to give them to my friend to stop me eating them but this year as i cant eat them they should be fineWill check once kids in bed to make sure there are enough to split into 3 with the same for each day to avoid arguments. Off to lidl for nappies (as asda have changed theirs and DD's skin does not approve) and juice before i collect older ones from school. Yesterday i forgot they had clubs and turned up at 3 then remembered i needed to return at 4 - lots been on my mind recently or at least thats what i am putting it down to.
2 loads of washing done and dried but waiting to be put away. Bathroom doen, Kitchen and dishwasher done. Think thats me for todayMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

OK so i have 35p in my purse and really dont want to take anymore out of the bank. Could do with a few bits for pack ups tomorrow but will hunt around the cupboards and see what i can substitute things with. Sure i have plenty of dinner bits in and nothing i can think of that is desperately needed. Really trying not to spend or take money from other pots as i need those pots very soon.
Off to weigh in shortly and will get new magazine which is included in the price which i pay by DD so thats already gone out. Dont think it will be much different to last week as new antibiotics are making me so hungry its silly. Although i can still only eat a few things.
A day at home - once been to weigh in - to tidy this mess. loads of washing to be done and put away plus lounge needs some attention, and the hair brushes have all vanished!
I joined bt in august and have been patiently waiting for my sainburys card to arrive in the post - nice incentive i plan on using to buy xmas food. It has now been 93 days and still no card so last night i rang and completed form. Hopefully they will be looking into it and i will soon have it in my hands - so fingers crossed
Right better get off here and get ready to go - have a great day everyoneMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Yay remembered to come on here at miday to get me some free radiator reflectors. Hope they work. not managed much this morning as dd determined to make me play and draw and watch peppa pig with her! Must try harder. Had a little rearrange of furniture yet again as OH bought a coffee table home the other day and we now have 2. What we need with 2 is beyond me. I prefer the new one but the other is a family heirloom or something so we will never get rid of that!Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Hiya!
Sorry to hear about toothache doesn't sound goodI need to go for a check up but i'm terrible and rarely go! You've just reminded me-again
Yay to free radiator reflectors, I think I missed out on those last time round (and obviously this time round)
On the nappies front I used aldi or lidl toowhen we had a sainsbug local I also used their £1.XX ones  they were great for the price! But I only swapped to those once the kids were nearly ready for potty training anyway as I wasn't sure if I trusted a nappy that was so cheap
lol
I've spent all day cleaning here and I tell you what not one person will notice the effort later! They will no doubt notice the cake, but the clean floors, walls, and furniture will go unnoticed and be filthy by the time the childminded kids go home later!xx My mother has a coffee table that she keeps trying to give me, it's an expensive one from JL from the year I was born (so not quite an antique
) and I keep making excuses because I don't like it
lol, I will have it eventually, will just perhaps cover it with a pretty table cloth
