    Morning All

BB Have used water ham has cooked in to make gravy before, presume you can make soup from it, just test it first as mine was quite salty. Hope your legs get better soon.

Big hugs to everyone feeling rough this morning.

It's tipping it down here, good for the garden though as we really did need it. Have sorted out DS birthday for next week at last, we are going to the cinema with 2 friends who are sleeping over. ExOH is also coming and hoping he will cough up half the money but don't hold your breath as he's not renowned for his generosity. DS has said he will sort out a menu.

Not quite sure what to do with myself today. Got everything ready for DS to go back to school today only to be told he's got a training day. House all clean and just have some ironing to do. Might get on with the huge pile of shredding I've got to do . Tea tonight is HM chicken soup. Got work tonight oh joy, suppose I should be grateful to still have a job.

Have a good day all and big hugs to those who need one.

    Morning all

Had a productive Sunday, cleared store food cupboard and freezer, download a template for a monthly meal plan and managed to write out 2 weeks worth of stuff. Shopping list done for extras. Bread maker delivered on Sat so will start having a go with that. Doing spag bol in SC today, will add grated carrot to it (read on this board).

3 Kids back at school so a bit more free time this week.

DS 2 had 3rd puncture on BMX in 1 week, so back to Halfords to see if I can get tubeless tyres as its a right pain.

I bought some living herbs which I havent used up so going to buy ice cube trays and freeze the rest in little portions today also 2 limes I havent used so will grate them and freeze the peel.

    Morning all!

Been 'sort of' MIA the past few days. Wrote my usual replies (one of which was quite loooong so I'm sure you are all happy you missed it lol!) then lost internet connection.... 2 days in a row and right as I went to send reply!

Anyhoo, been a bit lazy over the weekend. I always get like that when dh and kids off. I am better when they are at school/ work etc so I can get on with my cleaning/ tidying/ cooking etc in the morning.

Went to car boot and at long last managed to find a buggy for dd2. I just need one for this last term as it is just too far for her to walk to nursery and back every day. Found a lovely wee scallywags one for £2! Do me rightly, and when I am done with it in 6 weeks I will stick it on ebay and see if I can get my £2 back!

P*ssing down here since yesterday, so going to leave the lottie today and instead walk to town with my friend when kids are at nursery. Just for the company as I don't want to spend money on stuff I don't need. Just some Nicky loo roll as I can only get it in town.

Got a lovely crocheted-type skirt at the car boot. Lovely and long and swingy. It is lovely muted purples and blues and I found some dark purple material and hand-sewed a lining for it and it is perfect. Only cost me £1! For you nimble fingered ladies out there.... how do I mend a few holes in the crochet bit? I tried just sewing them together, but not very successfully.

Another quick question... for those of you who have kindles.... What accessories did you buy? I really want to get a cover for it but don't want to pay through the nose. What have you found to be essential. I was looking at this and it seems perfect..

Morning to all:).I'm back after spending a glorious week in Sunny Hunny. It was lovely , really refreshing.Ds3 totally relaxed now back to exams for the next 2 weeks then all over for all 3 of them:j:j. ds3 has maths gcse today as well.Good luck to all taking exams.
Got all washing , drying and ironing that came home from hols done over the weekend, thank goodness I did it wet and miserable here today. But the garden so needed it.
Ds1+2 kept the house lovely and clean whilst I wasnt here and even remembered to restock the fridge. They also redecorated their bedroom whilst we were away. They wallpaper was getting shabby so they roped in a couple of their friends and had a painting party so now it looks lovely and fresh again.
Woofer was so excited to see us and bowled dd clean off her feet he looks like he has grown about 2 inches whilst we were away oh I missed him, he sneaked up onto my bed Sat night:eek: he knows he isn't supposed to be upstairs .
So back to reality now, dinner tonight was going to be chicken and salad wraps but may do gammon salad and mac cheese instead and do the wraps tomorrow.
Am now going to go back and read through the last weeks daily threads as only really managed to get online a couple of times last week .
    Have a lovely day all

    Morning my lovelies :D

    Quick one from me.
Awful start to morning, kids being a total PITA, can't you tell it's the first day back after half term. Got a mahoosive list of jobs to get through this week but I need to be more swan like and glide effortlessly through my jobs with less stress as I just make myself feel worse :o:o

Off food shopping this morning, lets hope I don't leave half of it behind in Aldi's like I did last time

BB - go back to Drs xxx

Hugs and spoons all round. Tea tonight will be something with sausage.

have a g good day OS or not.

    morning all,

Wet here too, will leave any washing for another day, got my bedding from yesterday drapped all over the conservatory.

BB I make soup from the gammon water, gives it a lovely flavour, get yourself back to the Dr x

Need to do an online shop today, and have a good hoover clean through, will get dd to help, its so nice knowing all her exams are over, good luck to all those still taking them :T

Dinner tonight is roast chicken, roast potatoes, and 3 veg, although I am starting back of healthy eating today, I need to shift a stone, so I will be good and cut right down on the spuds.

Listed 7 things on Ebay yesterday, got bids on 3 at the moment, I bought a pair of vintage Ray Bans at the boot sale for £2, with case and receipt and instructions, so hopefully they will do well. Like NMLC if things do not sell they can go to the charity shop.

OK better get on, have good days all xx

    Hey ho chums!

MIA yesterday as it was manic!!

Did the housework and decided to go REALLY OS and so swept and scrubbed the pavement outside the house. It looks so much neater and will stop the dirt from trailing onto the carpet.

Did a small repair job on some rust spots that have appeared on the car - catch them while they're small.

Baked a pork & egg pie and some jam tarts for our traditional Sunday (buffet) tea.

Packaged up ebay sales so that I can post them off today.

Tonight I go to my mums to do her housework for her (it's too much for her to handle now). I also made some Granny Soup over the weekend so need to carton this up and get it in the freezer.

Tea tonight will be mince & dumplings & veg/chips.

Need to put more stuff on ebay but I don't know that I'll get the chance tonight..

    Hugs to all

    Marie :)

  • Morning:)

Bit grey today, but might risk drying the washing outside, I refuse to use the TD!
So far this morning have taken DD1 to school, got parcel from the post office, made beds, emptied and re-filled DW, brought washing in and put another load on and played dollies with DD2 (think I was more into it than her lol:o)
Didn't get to go to the safari park like I'd planned due to illness/bad weather, but SIL came round to see DDs and they enjoyed that.
Finished a painting for DD1s room, just need to get a frame for it now.
Off to toddler group later with DD2 and my neighbour and her baby boy.
Dinner will be something with chicken, after DD1s back from Rainbows!
Hope everyone has a good day! :D
