flying went OK at lunch break so I am now back on track with the main areas and should be able to get caught up at the weekend.
Spring Time I am sorry you find the attitude of some on this thread to be cruel, mean, offensive and unwelcoming, we do seem to have hit a raw nerve in this case don't we?Sue
Do I need to eat it
Can I afford the calories:eek:
have I checked for a lower calorie version:T0 -
HELLO ALL!
been ever so busy and just going to shower.
re the books though (who was putting them into alphabetical order?) the friend I do a favour for on a Friday has her paperbacks organised by colour - then they blend across the shelf!. her cookbooks have their own shelf though with no discernible organisation and hardback are in a glass-fronted pine bookcase. But organising paperbacks by spine colour? - and you lot think I've got OCD lol (mind you the DO look nice!)
erm Spring Time - if you jump in on a thread then post like you have then you are judging.
Personally I am horrified by the lack of care and thought of some 'parents' who bring babies into a world where others will have to pick up the slack because those parents aren't capable of even trying to parent adequately - f'r instance, the TV programme the other week where a 19 MONTH old was eating take away food 5 times a week - and the father claimed 'he couldn't control what his baby ate' - presumably because the baby walks into the chippy himself to order the food.
Not all babies are born to parent(s) who want to care for them properly, unfortunately.
And while we might well come across as cliquey that's because some of us have posted on this thread for a long time, and we know some background about each other. That can't be helped - but new people ARE made welcome...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I will try to answer your points.
I agree I did just jump in and post saying that I found such posts about an unborn baby offensive. I have never posted on this thread before but I have been a very long time lurker of this thread as what with this one and the "messies" thread I actually managed to grab some motivation from you ladies. I am sure I am not the only one that lurks on this thread yet still finds it so useful. I was moved to post today because in all honesty what I read in what I thought was a light hearted chit chat and encouraging housework thread completely shocked me. So yes, I did just jump in and post, I did try not to as I felt it was none of my business but it kept coming into my mind what I had read.
As soon as I did post, I had a couple of others "tell me off"/snidely remarked. One mentioned about my lack of humour. That was mean and uncalled for in all honesty and I knew it was probably best to "close" the screen before the "gang" thing went on as I knew which way it was going. I get that I am not a "seasoned" poster with a history on here and a bunch of friends. "I know my place" I guess is what I am trying to say lol...so I thought it was best I "walked away" when I did. But as usual with me, I never take my own advice and I did pop back on and then read more comments and Pigpen talking of me flouncing?!
I agree with your views on babies that are unwanted. The bad parents out there. I agree whole heartedly. Though that was not what was being said. I can not be the only person/lurker who reads through this thread as an "outsider" and found what was being said completely shocking. I am not a prune, I am not a witch and believe it or not I try my hardest to be non-judgemental (usually fail horrifically) but what I read genuinely startled me enough to say something and as soon as I did, I was jumped on, not by the person that I responded to regarding the posts but by others. That is unfriendly, that is unwelcoming.
With that being said I hope other lurkers are not put off by what has been said and responded to today from me as well as others because most days the OS board is one of the best places to be on this forum and in all honesty the things I have learned here have become such a big part of my life and that would not of happened without the very valuable posts you all make, my bank balance and families tummies are very, very grateful believe me!0 -
Afternoon all, I've done nothing this week.
DD came back wednesday and had a fantastic time.Next week seems to be all appointments with one being on monday morning at home and boy is the house rough looking.
Boys are away this evening and sis and BIL are calling up, to be honest i could do with an early night but that won't be happening. Hubby away to a shoot tomorrow so i'll rope the kids in to help as sunday we're away for childrens day.
Feeling very low this last few days and i'm not sure way, suppose it's all the running about, tiredness and house being in a state (garden is just as bad).
So..............I need a plan.
Utility room
completely gut out
move paint and things to shed
sort and fold all clean clothes
fill washing basket
sort through shoe and wellie box
brush floor and mop
clean windows
clean back door inside and out
Kitchen
wipe worktops
clear and clean table
clean window
brush and mop floor
clean cooker
Livingroom
wipe chairs and sofa
dust everywhere
clear fire out
clean fire place
hoover
Front hall
clear and clean coffee table
move chair out to shed
put old pram in attic
clean joey out
clean window
clean front door inside and out
dust
hoover
Bathroom
clean bath, toliet and sink
brush and scrub floor
sort through all towels
clean window
empty bin
Our room
strip and wash all bedding
move boys toys back into there room
dust everywhere
sort clean clothes
hoover
clean window
Garden
weed veg patch
plant out veg
cut front hedges
cut back hedges
cut all lawns
brush up round path
find a place for compost bin
Right loads to do and no motavation at all. I'm gonna try and get our room, utility room and front hall done tonight because there the most depressing rooms.
Right first FHC.......:)
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

couldn't have put it better myself!
I've been here for a while now - and you do get to know the people who post regularly - I know all sorts of random facts about fellow flyladies - where they live how many kids they've got etc etc and we are a very welcoming bunch! New flyladies or gentlemen are greatly welcomed...
Decluttered some ironing, put 2 washloads out to dry (I mean get soaked whilst at work!) and have made some buns with DD2. DS has been to casualty for the 3rd time in a year!:mad::mad: and has damaged ligaments in his thumb! Honestly - you couldn't make it up!
Otherwise not much flying done but did declutter a walk this morning and will try and get another one done this evening.... I will walk off the Guinness from Wednesday....
As always hugs and spoons to all the poorlies esp L-L, LW. Hope you are having a good day today..:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Flounced?
I pointed it out politely that I find such speak about an innocent unborn baby offensive. I then said I would leave you guys to it as this is obviously not the thread for me. That is flouncing?!
Well now I am judging, yes. I judge the attitude of some on this thread to be cruel, mean, offensive and unwelcoming. Of course the "clique" ( and believe me, it comes across that way to me as a new poster) will disagree but honestly that really does not matter to me, what matters is that I will never be the sort of person to speak about an unborn child in the manner you did. It was disgusting.
Good... now you have repeated yourself for the hundredth time and said you are leaving.. are you gone yet.. its boring now.. and TBH I don't actually give a flying fig what you think.. their baby will be so ugly the mw won't know whether to slap the baby, the mother or the father or all three!! they will rename the street down which they live Elm Street with good reason.. and what is worse.. it will also be ugly on the inside where it really matters because both the parents are.. and the grandparents and the uncles... and it will be brought up by their standard to spread hatred and poison wherever it goes.. and half of that came direct from the mouths of my children who have lived with the bullying and nastiness of KH's family and been subject to their evil attiudes.. they are so horrible I refused to allow them near my children any more.. so yeah I am justified in hating them and poking fun at their unborn children, I didn't ish it dead like they did mine!!!!.. and if you dont like it.. I don't care.. you have someone go the places you normally go spreading malicious lies about you and your children and condoning the disgusting violence of their brother against his own small children.. see how sweet and lovely they are then.
When you've met them you can pass comment.. until then I suggest you mind your own.. and stop chatting a pile of rubbish you have no knowledge or experience of.
Today is really not a good day to be picking fights with me.. I have had some pretty crappy news.. compounded by someone elses crappier news which made me feel bad about feeling bad about my crappy news.. so I have a triple dose of crap and the mood to prove it. Oh and then I found the memory stick filled with pics of my uncle who died last year that I forgot I had.. all in all a pretty crap day.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
thanks for replying Spring time - but note I didn't say we were all 'friends' I said some of us have been here a long time. On the whole though we are a friendly bunch.
I (and LOTS of other Flyladies, I'm sure) will be pleased to hear you got some motivation from the thread - because that's why it's here - as a UK response to the  US Flylady site.
My bed's stripped. DD's beds stripped. If DS doesn'tmove sharpish he will be going to bed in the same sheets...
He wants tea. I want motivation & inspiration...what to cook?
If he doesn't sort himself it'll be quiche (see the salad thread in The Arms...)
Pigpen - sorry for your crappy news...
but can quite see what you mean about Dot and Squeak - same nose, definitely! reminds me of DD's scan JUST before she was born - she looked so much like her big brother it was unreal - and she turned and face the sonar thingy too - absolutely stunning!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I am a tad out of touch. I have just got my kitchen sorted and gonna do bathroom in a mo before dh gets home. It will make me feelni am getting somewhere. Lol. Funny, the only room that managed to STAY tidy in the last few weeks I the kids room although I did 'help' last week getting rid of stuff. I also managed to get bits up for the new baby so I'm almost all set now. Feels quite good. Will feel better when that pile of laundry is sorted. Hehe.Proud to be Member of BSC #92Hoping to get debt free again :wall::heart2: working hard to make my daughters proud :heart2:0
