Weekend 4th/5th June - What small things....

Hi everyone
I'm another who's not been around a lot this week- glad to see I wasn't the only one! Work has been manic and I've not been feeling too happy this week, so been staying up late (and having a drink
...and smoking, I'm meant to be quitting ) after working long days, then tired the next day etc etc, it's a vicious circle.
Hope everyone is well and having a nice day in the sun - unfortunately it was gorgeous and hot here on Thursday and Friday and today so far it's grey and drizzly but quite humid. Ho hum.
Anyway, feeling more positive today, and I need the focus that my lists give me! Must get back on focus! So here goes for today, maybe carrying over to tomorrow as I'm not sure if I'm going out later or not:
[STRIKE]1. Check surveys on emails[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]2. Check OnePoll[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]3. Check banking[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]4. Look at budget for remainder of this month and do some jiggling about[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]5. Look at next months budget[/STRIKE]
6. Meal plan for the week
7. Small shop based on meal plan
8. Scan shop for ShopAndScan and do till receipt
9. OU work - Look at assignment question 1 again and contribute more to the discussion
10. OU check forums!
11. OU work - start Unit 8 - for Saturday Section 1 is the goal
12. Update "stores" list
13. Update DFD
[STRIKE]14. Buy Fathers Day card, birthday card for friend, and wedding card for bosses - anyone got good suggestions on best places to get expensive looking cards for cheap?! Or am I ok to stick with Tesco as they're normally quite good?[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]15. Smuggle in the dartboard that's hiding in the car that I got for my dad for Father's Day and without him seeing! - was very MSE on this one and managed to spend £11.51 in real money for a board worth about £30 from what I can work out. Except forgot to go through cashback site as usual, D'Oh![/STRIKE]
16. Wrap friend's birthday presents (already have wrap that I bought cheaply in sales a while ago) and dad's father's day present
17. Sort out change once done budgets, for 365 tin, and sealed pots
18. Darks Wash 1 on 30 - Hang to dry
19. Darks Wash 2 on 30 - Hang to dry
20. Whites Wash on 40 Eco - Hang to dry
[STRIKE]21. Update profiles on all the new survey sites[/STRIKE]
Think that's it for today...may have more tomorrow
Have a nice day everyone

Evening from Thailand.
i went to the auction this morning and managed to pick up a brand new looking three piece suite for B3,500 (about 70 pounds). The bidding actually topped out at B2,700 but the reserve was b5000 so the auction staff phoned the seller and we eventually agreed on b3,500.
Bought a Harry Potter book at the same auction for 55 baht and sold it for 110 baht to one of the second hand bookshops in town.
bought two computer keyboards for 100 baht at the same auction.
I'm starting to get a feel for what's hot and what's not at this auction malarky and will continue to post weekly updates throughout the summer.0 -
Had an early start today as was off to the car boot which went really well. Managed to pick up a couple of presents for very low prices so happy to have started my Xmas pressies :j
As well as the car boot, I will also be listing some items on e-bay this weekend.
As the weather has turned cold I have put the BBQ stuff in the freezer for another weekend and will have roast chicken from the freezer instead tomorrow (reduced price).
Are going to watch a free motoring event tomorrow and will walk the kids to karate instead of driving.
Will do the usual checking of accounts and surveys and hope to have a NSD tomorrow.June £25 a day 850.94/750

14. Buy Fathers Day card, birthday card for friend, and wedding card for bosses - anyone got good suggestions on best places to get expensive looking cards for cheap?!
Worth trying Card Factory if you haven't already. I find they are the best for cheap but decent cards. They often have birthday cards on offer 5 or 7 for £1 and they aren't crap cards either. Worth stocking up when these deals are on#39 - Save £12k in 20250 -
So today...
I have had a boiling day and nothing summery to wear so did go to Primark and got some cheapo shorts size 18:eek:Going to the gym tomorrow for sure, heaviest I've ever been!
The kitten went to the vet today so he's soooo sleepy now, had his second jab and microchip so he's officially mine... Even though he belongs to my bf... Bf is Dutch and hates having to spell his name out every time!
Kitten also got stung by a bee yesterday too... His paw was huuuge!

Hi everyone
Quickly popping by to read what you've all been up to.
I'm at my yoga course this weekend so need to rush. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Sleepy.
Small things wise:
- packed lunch
- take flask
- shared a taxi
- used dry shampoo
- get a lift - cheaper than train - offer some petrol £££ - or do car share where we each drive one day every 3 months...
Catch up later xxxx0
